Fulham vs. Crystal Palace match thread

We gave the ball away too often. Events might seem to have justified the emphasis on attack but more possession would have been respite for a shaky defence. Having said which it was the centre backs' first outing as a unit and we seemed to improve defensively as the game wore on. No amount of defensive organisation will compensate for losing the ball so often through mistakes. It would be nice to find a way of making JSL look useful - ideally by scoring - if only to improve the chances of selling him. Enough of the neghatives; we won and the overriding memory for me will be of Mitchell's most memorable game in a Palace shirt - maybe even his best.

Frankly these two aren't anywhere near good enough and unless Sage has some super duper coaching trick up his sleeve then I doubt they will improve sufficiently to make a difference.
Live in hope; he got Edouarde scoring; I know Roy did too but Wilf, Eze and Olise might have had a lot to do with that.

Was row 2 so right by the pitch. Was a cracking game!
Just before I talk about it, at the end of the game a girl came over with a sign for Hendos shirt. He seemed to throw it to her but the man next to her took it. He kept saying Deano promised him it, and he copped a lot of flak from fans nearby. Not cool, in my opinion. The girl looked pretty sad about this.
In terms of the game, well the win was huge mentally.
However, at times we looked wide open at the back. There's a reason we've conceded 8 goals in 3 games.
Still, we know Sage is only just here and needs time to gel all these new players. Hopefully it will come and we can see it over the coming weeks.

Ragged and all over the place at times, but we’ll take the win. I’d definitely give the young lad Ahanor a go, because Canvot is a liability at times, gave the ball away so many times, one leading to their first goal, Pino and Nketiah were poor and too lightweight.

How Fulham didn’t put us away I’ll never know, but happy days sage is off the mark and at least we looked dangerous ourselves going forward and we know we’re a work in progress so hopefully we’ll tighten up a bit, because we’re not going to be able out score better teams than Fulham if we don’t
