FUE hair transplants in Bosnia

8 years ago I flew to Turkey and had a hair transplant which cost €1500. I had been quite bald for a few years previously and fancied getting some hair back on top. I tried discussing it with the greatest minds on the bbs 🤣 and with a few notable positive exceptions was basically told it couldn't be done and to stop being vain.

Anyway the long and short of it to coin a phrase was it worked and they moved 4000 follicles from the back of me head to the front. However 8 years had passed and like an old carpet gaps were starting to appear. As I was going to Bosnia anyway for Palace I thought I'd check if anyone there was doing it, and found an amazing clinic who removed a further 4000 from the back to the crown and gaps on Friday, for an incredible price of €1180.

Now it is less stigmatised if anyone is thinking about having one please feel free to message me and I'll give them details of the clinic. They worked on my head from 4pm to half midnight, and it was so professional and dedicated. If I could work out how to post a picture I would, but I can't. I can't recommend them highly enough, and Bosnia Herzegovina is a beautiful country for a cheap break as well.

Does it hurt?

The injections hurt a bit. But then you quickly go numb and don't feel much after that. I'd say the equipment they use to extract the grafts has come on a long way in 8 years. I wouldn't describe the experience as exactly pleasant now, but it's not awful either. It's still essentially the same process as before though, 1) collect the grafts from the sides and back of your head, 2) inject the front of your head and punch loads of holes in it, 3) have a kebab, and then 4) insert the grafts into the holes.

I'm seven days post op today and everything is healing nicely. The cuts are not deep.

Quick update for anyone interested, the old head seems to be healing ok apart from a couple of stubborn scabs. Hopefully I'll be able to start washing it in the shower soon.

How long will it keep growing before your body gives up the nutrition for it.
Is your old lady back safely yet Elgin

No mate, they cancelled her flight and we took the refund as she's happy sunning herself and I'm decorating everywhere so it just made sense, especially as Im hopefully going out for the Larnaca game soon anyway.

The body doesn't give up nutrition for the follicles, they are well planted into the blood supply in my head now. After about 3 months they will fall out but the follicles remain, and then after about 6-9 months new hairs will grow out of them. The whole process should be over in about a year. If you do a hair transplant as a youngster you may lose more hair, but never from the implanted grafts, only your original hair as the male pattern baldness continues in your head.

At least she’s safe. Blimey at this rate you will look like Neil out of the young ones time she’s back 😂 Are you trying to earn a few brownie points and it looks good. You night shift later again ?

Nah got a night off for the football. Done the lounge and the stairs now, 'just' the rest to go. Doing it myself is paying for the European tour but it is a bit work and sleep at the moment if I'm being honest. I think it's pretty safe out there unless you work on the bases. I think a HT makes you look younger anyway, its quite an easy cheat.

I think I could benefit from a transplant. Plenty of spare follicles to take from my nostrils, belly button and ears. 🙂
