Fredrikstad vs. Crystal Palace Match Thread

Happy we made into europes third rate competition ( F uefa) but that was a pitiful performance glasner really couldnt work out how to break down a team that couldnt even beat grimsby town. Romain probably isnt happy after that positive display at forest to not get another chance to prove himself in a game where we struggled to create chances. Glasner stubborn again nothing new here
Unfair. We beat Man Utd last time we played

Phew! If they had scored with that last shot I'd have been screaming at JPM. Either score or take it to the corner. There were only 30 seconds remainig FFS
On the bright side, the qualifying stage was Chelsea's toughest all tournament
Everyone else would've have been screaming at another 30 minutes.

It's great to go through, but a real indictment of the club's lack of proper preparation for this season.

More or less the same team will have to play at Villa in 3 days time, with a similar lack of options on the bench.

Mateta is spent on 70 mins, but we have to keep him on as there are no other options .

Credit to Glasner and the professionalism of the team , but the club were dicing with danger as a deflection or lucky bounce could have made it a different story.

Sorry to set a downbeat tone on a celebratory occasion, but I want the team to be in the best shape possible on Sunday and I think our lack of squad options makes this impossible.

I thought this might end 0-0. I wasn't expecting a scintillating goal fest, and this set of players performances will tail off as long as there's little chance of rotation. The least that can be said is that we are through. Hey, we may even have a few extra recruits by then...

Mission accomplished.

No flair or bite in midfield, resulting in the kind of tedious bore fest one might expect when you lose all your game changing players.

Not a great watch and we missed Hughes in the middle tonight. We need four quality players to come in, to just give us a chance with these extra games to avoid burn out/injuries. Our supporters were loud and proud plus plenty of our shirts in the home end! Please SP spend some money!

I think this might be a bit of a flavour of the European journey to come. The lesser teams (and perhaps others) will play ultra defensive, with a low block, at Selhurst. Possibly, the same away.

I am glad that OG has been there before and with a hopefully bigger and better squad, we will find a way.

Well done to management, the team and supporters for creating Palace European history today!!!!
