Fredrikstad vs. Crystal Palace Match Thread

Random thoughts:

1) If you haven't watched the game yet, watch only the 2nd half stoppage time.
2) We could have scored a few goals if we'd had the energy for a tight press.
3) Our set-piece deliveries regularly went high and long. Fake turf?
4) How confident were we that JPM was going to score on the breakaway?
5) We need to sign two more good-to-excellent midfielders.
 
Well, we're through but what a tough watch against a supposedly lesser team but playing on foreign soil for the first time in Euro competition. With The Villa on Sunday, one factor that is a given is that Palace will face far more formidable talent then yet and will have to raise their game. Quality of performance underlined importance of the need to strengthen depth of First Team not least for rotation purposes given hectic calendar.

Your point four is exactly right. Last season very confident. This season not at all. And his hold up play was poor too. Felt more like the old JP
 
Job done .Though I must admit I nodded off during the latter part of the first half . The spag bol the Mrs brought me at HT was very nice as was the glass of Merlot . The coffee arrived just in time to keep the concentration levels up as we saw the game out .

Can't complain Ollie looked pleased which is great after his down look for the past two weeks . Hopefully he will have another player for Sunday and maybe a few more to work with next week .

Time for another glass of wine me thinks

Firstly - we’re through - let’s enjoy and celebrate that..!!

But that was pretty awful - that’s all down to SP and his window after window procrastination of doing Business early - been calling it for weeks - but tonight you saw the evidence for yourselves..!!

We are ridiculously threadbare and there’s no reason it should be this way..!!

It’s just SP and his obstinance..!!

OG - got us through this in spite of SP and his lack of support, strategy and planing - which in all honesty is absolutely lacking and clueless..!!

Now SP you have 4 days to redeem yourself - seriously got to start doing the do..!!

Get a grip, not a classic, but on a plastic pitch we aren't used too.

Getting through the tie was the objective, job done. To much a risk to play attacking football leaving space behind and getting knocked out, it would be very embarrassing after the Court case.

It’s you that needs to get a grip if you think that was an acceptable performance against what a Div 1 side at best..!!

We couldn’t even select a full bench - even the one we had included 2 keepers..!!

SP has messed up big time admit it..!!
