I am reading this thread. I want to be grown up about the turn coat. I really do. I want to concentrate on Palace and what is gone is gone. But he really is a smug prick and I just want him to fail and get sacked. That will genuinely make my season. I know it’s small minded but there it is.

No, of course not, Glasner is a crap manager and will always be a crap manager, he was very lucky to inherit a team of real quality, and the success we had in the cups was must despite Glasner not becuase of him, it we had had a top manager at that time we would be in the Champions league by now and kept a lot of our better players, Sage needs time to understand that his system is crap, if he doesn't, he wont last until Christmas, then a manager will be bought in that plays a decent set up, like PSG, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal and even Brentford.

I find it beyond my comprehension that given Glasner provided us with the greatest period of success in our history there are sentiments expressed hoping that he suffers ignominy by having his services terminated.
I for one will afford him a cordial welcome when he returns to Selhurst Park with Nottm Forest.

Willo, i think we can all agree our league displays were poor, especially at home, it would have been poor if we hadnt won the Conference, as favorites to win it, the cup final was easily the worst display of our three finals, we were lucky to win, but i am. of course, glad we did, but he isnt even a good manager, maybe a lucky or a clever one.

There were some terrible performances en route, but we deservedly won an unmemorable final

Depends on your definition of a good manager. For me it's being able to adapt tactics to suit games, both before the fixture and during. Glasner wasn't great at this and in that sense I think he was a poor manager. As has been said, that was ok and he got away with it until he was worked out. I can't name many managers who are my definition of "good" though. I think everyone goes to a club, plays their tactics til they get worked out, then starts losing and gets fired. For Glasner his tactics were worked out at Palace, he's carried them on at Florist so he hasn't even got the advantage of being a Premier League enigma.
