FIFA sell-off, UEFA backlash

“The ad breaks are not in the rules, the 30-minute half-time break in the final is not in the rules, and the red card, that’s the worst,” said Platini.

“He’s the guarantor [of the rules], he doesn’t respect them, he must go,” added Platini,

Infantino going for re-election next year. He's probably playing a numbers game with the voting, by being generous to Africa , Asia North and South America.

Europeans know he's not fit for the job

Caribbean Football Union (and its 25 FIFA Members) have endorsed Infantino for another term. If ths is correct, then Infantino has reelection solidified, months before it happens.

If there is only two candidates then he only needs 106 votes. If there is more then two candidates, he needs 141 votes (two-thirds). Then after the first round of voting, he would only need 106. If my math is correct, the election is over before it even stated.

For:
  • Asian Football Union (CFU): 47 members
  • Caribbean Football Union (CFU) (Sub of CONCACAF): 25 members (out of 31)
  • Confederation of African Football (CAF): 54 members.
  • CONMEBOL (South America): 10 members.
  • OFC (Oceania Football Confederation): 10 of 11 members (New Zealand does not).
  • Sub-bloc / National Breakaways: Mexico and Latvia have openly backed him, so let’s go 2 members.
If my current math is correct, Infantino likely has 148 votes already.

Against:
  • UEFA: 54 members (Does not include Latvia)
  • North American Football Union (Sub of CONCACAF: 2 members (US and Canada; does not include Mexico)
  • Sub-bloc / National Breakaways: New Zealand (1 member)
Opposition Votes: 57

Unknown:
  • UNCAF (Central American Football Union) (Sub of CONCACAF: 7 members
