Farewell Eze?

I know it’s time to leave it alone but it is very telling he’s not playing today. Perhaps Ebs just wanted a free season ticket with the best view.

I can see him not making the World Cup and being a fringe player at best.

Be careful what you wish for Mark.
He made his choice, now he can see Tossard being picked in his position and watch from the bench.

Well he came on at HT in his best position down the middle and kept finding pockets of space . Trouble is Arsenal don't have a Wharton and he never got the ball where he could do any damage
Brilliant pass from Ebs to create Arsenal's equaliser, but your comment is spot on. They just wouldn't give him the ball when he found the space just in front of City's defence.

Did anyone else notice an increase in "work rate" from Ebs, tracking back etc.

Amazing what a bit of competition from places does, and this was the one aspect I thought he could improve when he was with us

If he keeps this up, I don't think he will be a fringe player and may thrive

I wish him well, as I like the balance we have now...and 5th place after 5 games ain't bad - and I still think we have room for improvement 😳😁

Yes, there was one moment where City broke away and Eze saw the danger and ran back half the length of the pitch to challenge the City player. Didn't win the ball as the City player was in the box by then and fluffed the chance, but nevertheless, I was amazed to see Eze even consider tracking back.
Eze must have understood by now that although he's currently an expensive new toy there's plenty of competition for places and his automatic starting place isn't a foregone conclusion.

I agree, but we might also see whether that’s also because he’s fresh as a sub.

What an absolute waste. What was Eze thinking, not in the team again and never in when it really matters. His World Cup chances disappearing with each passing week.

Nothing to Arsenal but look how we could have used him over the Xmas period.

We all said it, we all knew he was a luxury we put up with but a big team was never going to. You know you made a mistake when you are behind Herman Munsters younger brother Troussard

Oh dear Ebs. Such as waste

Still, he gets a pretty good seat as a supporter. Decent view but not handy for the bar at half time.

I expect he was thinking he gets to be at his boyhood club, in a squad challenging for the title, in the Champions League and on double the wages. Not sure it’s a waste from Ebs’ point of view

Except it would be a tad ironic if they won nothing this season and his only trophy is what he won with Palace.

Love the guy and thankfull for his goals But he could disappear sometimes during a games and seems to a mood based player. He has now found out that doesn't get you into a team like Arsenal. Small fish in big pond now.
Hope he can turn it around and be the player he has the talent to be
