He absolutely was. Mark is a better, more consistent player for sure. My point was Ebs could end up wasting 2 of his prime years. He was brilliant for us, Marc plays every game for England if he's fit.

C'mon Den, its MarC letting yourself down here.He absolutely was. Mark is a better, more consistent player for sure. My point was Ebs could end up wasting 2 of his prime years.
He made his choice, now he can see Tossard being picked in his position and watch from the bench.I know it’s time to leave it alone but it is very telling he’s not playing today. Perhaps Ebs just wanted a free season ticket with the best view.
I can see him not making the World Cup and being a fringe player at best.
Be careful what you wish for Mark.
Brilliant pass from Ebs to create Arsenal's equaliser, but your comment is spot on. They just wouldn't give him the ball when he found the space just in front of City's defence.Well he came on at HT in his best position down the middle and kept finding pockets of space . Trouble is Arsenal don't have a Wharton and he never got the ball where he could do any damage
Just a ball behind the Man C defence and why oh why they were so high up the pitch ? Not the best defending.Brilliant pass from Ebs to create Arsenal's equaliser, but your comment is spot on. They just wouldn't give him the ball when he found the space just in front of City's defence.
Rest assured I stood in the corner of the garden and chastised myself.C'mon Den, its MarC letting yourself down here.
Yet.Well he came on at HT in his best position down the middle and kept finding pockets of space . Trouble is Arsenal don't have a Wharton and he never got the ball where he could do any damage
Yes, there was one moment where City broke away and Eze saw the danger and ran back half the length of the pitch to challenge the City player. Didn't win the ball as the City player was in the box by then and fluffed the chance, but nevertheless, I was amazed to see Eze even consider tracking back.Did anyone else notice an increase in "work rate" from Ebs, tracking back etc.
Amazing what a bit of competition from places does, and this was the one aspect I thought he could improve when he was with us
If he keeps this up, I don't think he will be a fringe player and may thrive
I wish him well, as I like the balance we have now...and 5th place after 5 games ain't bad - and I still think we have room for improvement 😳😁
