Guehi has revoluted them already.Earlier I suggested the players should donate their weeks earnings to charity, which I'm sure wont happen, but the club should refund the cost of tickets to all those fans who travelled to the match and were so badly let down.

Fair play to the late Mr Ian Curtis's beloved Macclesfield FC, but is this really the biggest FA Cup shock ever recorded in history, making sports news outlets around the world?
I fully grasp the fact that none of them are professional players, and 10 of the 11 starters today have part-time professions elsewhere, but to be labelled the biggest cup shock in history seems a little bit far-fetched to me.
What does truly annoy one however is the ex professional pundits on Sky lambasting the CPFC players by saying they need to "hold their heads in shame this evening"
I get the world has changed, and the effect social media has contributed towards that because society prefers reading about the downfall of successful people, but come on....do these ex-pro's not remember the magnitude of what the same players achieved a little over 7 months ago?
Are or are we supposed to forget about our achievements in the modern world?

I actually think that there was effort but the lack of attacking threat like most games recently, really cost us. An early goal like we had in the 3rd round last season would probably of seen us through. Couldn't see any player in the attacking starting line up that I felt with confidence might do something like Eze last season. As the half wore on was proved to be correct. The supposed quality coming on at half time didn't work. Johnson was wasted on the wing, as he got no ball, Hughes was running into trouble most of the time or getting in Wharton's way, Mitchell had a few effective runs and was probably the best of the 3.it would be laughing at them. 😁
What a totally inept and shockingly bad game from OG and all the players. Just turning up expecting to win clear

On here you are only as good as your last post! You are only as good as your last performance.
These pundits or ex pro are spot on.
It doesnt matter what you do in the past and if you do this would show it up to be even worse that people who won this have been beaten by basically a non league team.

Might be a few in Croydon tonite after that s*** show 😁At least we're all just taking it on the chin.

That's generous.Just had a quick look at the bbc's report on the game, the player ratings. Macc worst player got 9.12, Palace best player(Johnson) got 2.9. Canvot was worst 2.30.

Pure, Palace black comedy. FA Cup winners knocked out with a whimper against non-leaguers.
We were so, so, *so* terrible, the only thing which puts a smile on my face is I remember when we were pretty poor and what a shock upset felt like - so I'm really glad we could give Macclesfield fans one of the best days on the sauce they'll have ever had - they thoroughly deserve it.
I'm with you on this. The elation we all had at Wembley against Villa, then the clinging on and on against City, was born of our long-accepted identity as the underdog. So it was superb to beat that jinx twice in a row and for us to lift the Cup. Today was Macclesfield's go at a fraction of that experience. Of course, none of that takes away from the fact that this was the worst Palace performance I've ever seen, an absolute shocker. And now I'm going to bed at 3pm and pulling the duvet over my head. This is what makes the FA Cup the greatest competition, when the small clubs can beat the so called big clubs who have got loads of money and big named players, it's the romance of the Cup.
We have to take it on the chin and move on.
Good luck to Macclesfield they deserve it, their fan's will go home buzzing as we did when we actually won it
Probably ourselvesWe’re going to give someone a good thrashing at some point soon!

I think it was on the broadcast or I read it the last time this happened it was Palace that did it to someone.
So it only makes sense it happened back at us it's the Palace way.
Macclesfield gets another nice payout which for clubs at that level is massive I hope they get a big team next round for there fans and more $$$
