FA Cup 3rd Round Macclesfield

We took a chance and played reserve and young players always a risk. Should have started with the experienced players and then substituted them. WE are not the first and will not be the last to suffer this way.
I agree and yet some bright spark on here keeps preaching tactics have no bearing on matches.

Show some respect to the opposition, get your best team out there, get 2-0 up and then put the youngsters on if you want to rest players. Made exactly the same mistake in the Conference League which means we are now having to play a play off in order to progress.

Ideas:

They wanted to lose, were instructed to lose, but had to make it look like Macclesfield were plucky opposition who were just too good on the day.

Glasner is an arrogant mug who has had his moment and whose one party trick doesn't work any more.

It's a conspiracy - we were allowed to win the FA Cup last season.

When I saw the line-up I suspected that it would be a long hard day. Congratulations to Macclesfield, fully deserved.
There's nothing this set of players and manager can say to excuse this performance.
Glasner is an arrogant mug ?!?!

Ridiculous comment, I'll put it down to emotions running high after that performance

I have been "living the dream" since last Easter, I guess I can now come back to earth and get on with the mundane aspects of life again! I cannot imagine how most fans are feeling right now ......
Feeling like the siren call of two bottles of Jim Beam in the cupboard must be resisted or all hell could break out.

They don't when you play a team at this level so run along and go educate yourself.

This was the players at fault it had been proven when he even replaced people and they still did f all.

but in your mind tactics no matter the players will trump anything yeah ok.

Conference level teams are nothing like this team like I said before you have 0 clue what you are talking about.

Use your brain just take a look at the lacking bench that is a big issue yet people still keep ignoring the manager has not been backed and next look at the performance that is all on the players.

Palace looked too casual and leggy that will be partly due to lack of squad depth (how many times have we mentioned insubstantial transfer window activity?) and perhaps the change of pitch surface that they are used to within The Premiership? (how the ball bobbled... but then that it is all part and package of the preparation)

What saddens the most is that Palace is not a team of egos or 'prawn sandwich' influencing fan brigade but a solid family values club on vastly reserved resources compared to the giants of The Premiership. We are still very much a 'building' club and whilst there are bumps in the road...and today is a massive one...it is how ALL choose to regroup as opposed to any walking away to an easier, more profitable option.

I refuse to believe that this is Glasner's fault. The Premiership is by far and away the most important priority with injuries having cost us dearly (and I still maintain losing one of our very best players to AfCon ...who will be devastated by what he returns to) On reflection, the exit from The FA will at least give our small team much needed rest with every game to come effectively the equivalent of a Cup Game to bounce back.

OG is not arrogant. In fact he always comes across as down to earth and pretty humble. However, I’d now like to hear a damn bit less about what he wants in the transfer market and lot more about what he’s going to do to sort out our appalling form and the fact we’ve been completely worked out tactically
