First off, well played Macclesfield. They thoroughly deserved to win. Outplayed and out battled us. At times also simply played the better football. Had their tactics worked out and executed them.

As for us, given the difference in league positions and supposed quality that must be the single worst performance I have seen in my history of watching Palace. Not a single player got hold of the game, showed any leadership or class. Pino scored a free kick but was utterly hopeless beyond that. Sosa is simply not good enough.

There is something very badly wrong with us at the moment. OG must be on borrowed time now.

We took a chance and played reserve and young players always a risk. Should have started with the experienced players and then substituted them. WE are not the first and will not be the last to suffer this way.

Probably the beginning of the end. Failure to invest, too little too late and it all unravels.
