Eze to spurs?

That's wrong, the problem is Levy.

Whether you think they're good or bad fans, they can't have that much of an impact on the team.

The entire club needs an overhaul. They need to get rid of Levy, all the backroom staff, give the heave-ho to mirror masturbators like Son and Madison and totally restructure the club.

Whoever is next in the ejector seat will be the 15th manager Levy has appointed in 25 years. Unless it's a big step up in wages any player should be wary of going there anyway, let alone having to revive their barely remembered glory years.

Spot on summary TL.

Eze has built up some credit in the bank with us Palace fans over his time with us and we love him - so give him some latitude for his poor performances. Can you imagine how quickly those entitled Spuds fans would turn on him!
Let’s face it 3/4 of them want to see the back of the first manager to bring them success in over 20 years!

Terrible group of so called fans who have blamed a string of previously successful managers for their lack of success - the problem isn’t their managers it’s them!

I hope (if he goes) it’s not there.
Harsh Elphers. Spurs fans are long-suffering, and the ones I know are good people. I don't think Spurs is the right place for Ebs, but I would far rather see them winning a trophy than most of the other big clubs. I also think their big beef is with the ownership not the manager.

If we get chucked out of Europe then it’s more likely he will want to go to a team that can offer him a step up from just playing in a domestic league as well as a club paying him bigger bucks. He and others will depart if we lose our place in Europe. And Spurs are now in the Champions league, so it’s a possibility he will go there in my opinion?

Also I think he's loved this season and his career projection, and is looking forward to thriving in the Europa League under Olly G. Also, the strong band of "Christian Soldiers" he's amongst at Palace must be a positive.

But it is only for one year - maybe just 8 games. If we get Europa league, I'd say Palace are more likely than Spurs to be in the Champions League in 2026/27
Liverpool, Arsenal and City are the only long term probabilities in the UK and he has not been mentioned much, if at all, in relation to any of them. TBH, Bayern seems the likeliest to me, if they want to stomp up the release clause, now they have lost Sane and did not get Wirtz.

His OTT celebrations at Wembley were followed by a statement that he wants to win everything. He'll be 27 in a couple of weeks time and now is the time for him to move if he wants to achieve his aims. I can see Bayern Munich coming in for him before the Release Clause expires. Linking up with Olise in that side could help that club get back to being a serious threat in the CL.

no disrespect to spurs as they are a much bigger club than us…however i think hes got a higher ceiling than spurs can offer.
I think the opposite - I think his lack of consistency means Spurs is about his ceiling.

As much as I love Eze, I can’t see any of the bigger clubs putting up with a player who goes missing in a big percentage of games and is a non-factor out of possession.

Spurs will have been in the champions league 6 of the last 10 seasons (if we count next season as well), including a final in 18/19.

I think their ‘predicament’ is grossly overstated by most football fans - they obviously had a disastrous league campaign last year, but bigger picture is their wage bill is on average the 6th most of clubs in England, and generally they finish around 6th in the table.

Their budget is closer to ours than it is to a City or a Chelsea - the idea that they’re supposed to be competing with them clubs is a fantasy.

Did you not watch the Cup Final ? Eze covered every blade of grass in Oli's defensive master plan . Filling gaps , pressing intelligently when required ,getting a toe in to break up play .

He was very much a factor out of possession

On average, he’s a poor player out of possession - he made 3 interceptions and 0 tackles in the final, which is above his averages for the season.

He averages MINUS tackles a game?!
Is that even possible?
In the words of Guardiola :

"I am not a coach for the tackles so I don't train the tackles. What I want is to try and play good and score goals and arrive more [in the box]"

He added :
"I don't know that you have to spend time practising tackles. I don't spend my time practising tackles. Tackles are like one guy has the talent to do tackles, one guy has the talent to do headers, and one guy shoots and scores a lot of goals. But I never spend time practising tackles."

Yes, but they had Kane and Son at their peak during this period. Those days are gone

I love Ebs, but if someone offers £68m+we should snap their hand off and give him our best wishes. He’s too inconsistent to be a player of that value, and his ceiling is not even close to Olise’s. We had our pants pulled down there- my only hope is we’ve got a 20+% sell on clause for MO- he’ll end up at Real Madrid or Barcelona IMHO

We hardly had our pants pulled down by Olise. There was a release clause which he exercized. And that was a negotiated increase from the 30million level when we first bought him. City, in particular, were fools for not taking him after his first season when they extended Mahrez for a year instead

Yes, we got a lot more because of his new contract, but what they paid now seems like an absolute snip, would you not agree? If Ebs is worth what his release clause is set at, Olise is worth considerably more. And just to clarify, I meant Bayern had our pants down, not Michael
