The point was made in commentary that with the amount of cricket being played wickets like this are becoming more common and that county players have to contend with them all the time.

I had spoken about the pitch and it just seems incredibly sad that the pitch is crap at the home of cricket. Can we get nothing right anymore?

Not a good side at all.
Having had the disappointment the night before of watching Palace lose to City, I decided to stay at home to avoid further disappointment i.e sitting at a damp Lords waiting for a break in the clouds. At one point I did get quite nervy when play resumed and the overs were being rattled off and the 50% refund on my ticket was in peril.

I noticed the ground was nowhere near full and just thought to myself that it was to do with the Pakistanis thinking the team is crap, and not showing up. Where that leaves England cricket fans I couldn't say. I wouldn't mind going over for the Ashes but price and availability will probably stop me. I also don't think I could be bothered to watch Pakistan. A far cry from Wasim and Khan.
