El Hadji Diouf

It’s just an echo chamber for 4 or 5 people on one side of the fence and 2 or 3 on the other side, both sides slagging each other off. It’s largely a waste of computer memory.

I would just delete all of it and try and get this back to a football site.
It was never 'just' a football site, although the protagonists back in the day were more amusing and didn't hunt in the same rabid, sycophantic packs.

Not in the starting 11 tonight. But nothing at stake for them any longer.
Yes, the league is their priority. They are well=placed to win it and get Champions League next season. He may want to stay another year. It looks like we missed the boat again. Young, plays in a position needed filling, international class, uninjured and available for the right price at the beginning of the window. Yet here we are

so Djiouf fink he's staying put?

Harsh. There are some well read and informed comments on there.

However, it all went a bit alt right conspiracy for my liking; and when I got accused of supporting child rape, that was my time to bow out.

Wouldn't be surprised if Diouf has been signed by Brighton for the end of the season. That way he can continue developing at Prague. They don't need him as immediately as we do.
They did this with a couple of signings under Bloom. Just a thought.

No idea who this guy is & how reliable but that's 3 online saying it's done, hoping so

I think that is the same account that said we were going to get Chilwell but this time he is using a different profile picture and name(Cover photo is same) and bio seems to be almost identical also.

Whoever this dude is is full of s*** and needs to get a life.

May get Diouf but not trusting a BS account like this.

Yup, sounds like you're right with this. Clickbait & boys in their bedrooms will be on speed this w/e churning out crap.

I'm no good at spotting fake accounts with these social media things, but the fact it says three-year deal is what doesn't ring true. These days clubs usually tie young and inexperienced players down to at least 4 years. What I would add though is that we clearly must be close to getting someone based on what OG said in his presser. The Juve lad would need to leave Porto midway through the season to join a mid-table PL club, supposedly also on a loan. That just sounds odd to me. Also, Glasner referred to Clyne and Lerma being able to fill in at the back, which suggests to me we may more likely be looking at a LB/LWB. The only strong rumours in that position are Diouf and Chilwell. For the latter to happen I think Palace would probably want Chelsea to pay half his wages (at least) and with our injury issues I just wonder if they'll see him as too much of a risk.

So in conclusion, I think we'll sign Diouf by Monday!

I think it's either Diouf or Chilwell(loan) that was being referred to by Glasner as the signing which he seemed confident would happen.

Since we've lost Riad and Chaloboah he also indicated that, if a deal was right for the club, then a centre back could be added.
He seemed more relaxed about this though as he said Lerma and Clyne could step in to a back 3 if necessary, and in the case of the former, this would be feasible with the return of Wharton in midfield.

In conclusion it seems 2 signings at most.

I've just always had the feeling this guy doesnt really want to come to us and is holding out for a club like Liverpool.
Just can't see it happening.
