They are both at the bottom of the pecking order for France. Mbappe will want to continue to start in his race to be leading goalscorer and managers are often reluctant to break-up an established central defence so I can't see either getting anything but garbage minutes for the rest of the tournament

Interestingly, a draw with Norway will be good enough for top spot but that will likely mean a matchup with Germany in the round of 16: not an ideal scenario
 
Glad Wharton is resting but he might have been useful to try to breakdown the low block but at least the clubhouse will feel good as Henderson lifts their spirits. Can see Panama sitting in the low block and England finishing 2nd to play either Colombia or Portugal in knockout. :-/

Love to see Munoz score again to knock England out. Or even Ronaldo after all the journalists and youtubers have laid into him again and again
 
Munoz has been playing well (off and on) against DR congo. On 5 minutes he missed a sitter from close range and 2 minutes later had the ball in the net but it was disallowed due to a fractional offside.

Followed by long periods of not much happening.

THEN!! Munoz has just scored for Colombia in the 76th minute.

Lerma is apparently playing but he's been utterly anonymous. (has he been secretly subbed?)

Ah! In 90 minutes+4 he picks up a booking. So he is there after all!

Full time and Columbia take top spot in the group.
 
Well we have two players scoring & offers will be in for Munoz whilst Kamada s agent has inked his pen for another team

Feel LaCroix & JP will play in the next game

Its all well and fine until New Zealand stars of the 'sheep sport' speak like kiwi's but have surnames like Jones & Evans.

You end up with a tug'o war between managers & associations.

Lerma did a theatrical fall in the box to divert the defence and enable the goal.

Only if France decide they want to finish 2nd in their group behind Haaland & Co, their next opponents. In any event, Mbappe will want the Golden Boot so JPM at least will continue to occupy a seat on the bench IMO.
