Dublin - Tickets / Travel / Accommodation / Meeting points / Local knowledge

There'll be loads of Palace. Probably throughout the stadium
Like you say, I wonder how many will wait for the Palace Box Office to sell tickets in the official Away section ?
Two points :
1. Remember the venue could still be changed to a bigger stadium (I would assume tickets already purchased would still be valid)
2. I'm going as a foot passenger via Holyhead ferry. I have yet to book, but am hopeful i will see other Palace on the afternoon of the game at Port Dublin. Do we get buses to the city for refreshment ? then how to get to the stadium ?

Any other Palace going from West/North Wales ?

A few lads in work are shelbourne season ticket holders,I asked them about palace fans being in there end....none of them could see a problem...only thing was ,,once they ain't waving union jacks in our faces,as a previous poster has said....
My advice is ..enjoy your day, have some Guinness and respect shelbourne and their fans ....and you will have a great day.... shelbourne are really looking forward to this match, you got to remember other than soccer ...our main sport is G.A.A.,fan segragetion is non-existent in that sport...(Croke park holds 80,000+),so I wouldn't worry ,if you in shelbourne stands .

To get Luas line to Tallaght, presumably need to get from City Centre not airport? So a bus from airport to which stop? What is Tallaght like in the evenings, will I need to barricade myself in the hotel? 😂

I am going over, weather I get a ticket or not -

I asked a friend of mine living in Dublin which was a decent hotel in Tallaght, he suggested that if I was going over for a few days, which I am (rather than just for the one night of the match) I would be better off staying in Dublin city centre & just travelling out to Tallaght for the game.

Get a bus to city centre...o'connell street.
From there ..walk to abbey or Jervis st....both off o'connell, luas stops to tallaght there..
Tallaght at night is fine, few pubs in the village,molloys/dragon ...would be good sporting pubs...you won't be in the Bronx....just a normal working class area..

Going to spend a day with the mate, maybe a day sightseeing (or recovering from a hangover) hope to get a ticket for the match & the rest of the time getting pished -

Anyone any idea when the palace ticket allocation goes on sale ?
Will it be 9000 Parish points or Season ticket + getting preference ?

Looking at the Shelbourne site I can get a ticket (3 game thingy) in 103 / 104 or the other side 304 ish anyone see any probs with being in the non official Palace section ? no plans to bring a flag of any denomination, I am not one that could be considered rowdy or a troublemaker (too flipping old for that) but would like to wear the Palace shirt & lucky red & blue undies if its possible. lol

Prob best off looking at the points allocation for our least European away game in Norway. Phase 1 one was 10,000 if I can remember. Most of us have bought tickets in the home end to make sure we go to the game. Would recommend buying early as they look to be nearly sold out. If you get an away ticket you can always sell your home ticket I would say no problem.

looking at the sales phases for the Dynamo Kiev game just announced I think that answers my question -
We have been allocated 2500 tickets & the first phase opens at 6000 points - and only one ticket per member -

Given that Dublin is a lot easier to get to I would anticipate that when those tickets go on sale the first phase will be opening at a higher level so (with my meagre 3250 points) I either need to go for a Shelbourne 3 game ticket or hope for a last minute Palace member cancellation -

The Lublin stadium capacity is 15k and the the Dublin stadium is 10k which I think is similar to the Norway game?

I think that we have been given the south stand and that I think holds roughly 2k?

Just my estimates anyway. I've 8k points and wasn't taking any chances so booked the home end.

Those concerned about tix should just go to the Shelbourne fc website and buy them...I bought 3 on Friday, took 2 min's, okay in the home end but from what I can see half the ground's gonna be Palace.
I gave an address in Dublin (my cousins) when purchased just in case was any issues....but neh drama

I've got tickets in the home end. I thought Shelbourne were being smart, selling tickets as a 3 game package.
However, what I can see happening, is that Shelbourne's two other home games (against BK Hacken and Drita) will look like they are sold out, and plan accordingly. However, on match day, the stadium will likely be virtually empty, with home and away fans unable to get any tickets.(Because Palace bought 80% of them in the 3 match deal).
Not our problem, but Shelbourne's cunning plan has a bit of a defect. 😀

Didn’t even occur to me that the home end would be an option. Looks like 101 and 102 sold out. I guess beyond that much if the rest of the ground is the same as far as we aware?

i think 101 and 102 sold out because of their proximity to the Away Stand. I would guess it highly likely there will be Palace in other stands in significant numbers

Just received a mail from Shelbourne regarding their match tonight...as I did the 3 match bundle purchase to sit in there end come our match...they say, any away fans regardless of purchase will not be admitted inside home sections of stadium etc.etc....at that rate their won't be no-one in the home end come our match..! A charm offensive maybe required come match day....?

Went to watch the Shelbourne match yesterday. Filthy wet night and finished 0-0. Block 102 didn't have many empty seats. Block 101 was about half full. Lots of empty seats in other parts. 4 behind me were Palace supporters - the lad had a palace top in under the layers. The Swedish visiting team had about 100 fans in the South stand away end - will be a different volume in December!

Flights booked - Tuesday till Friday (returning Friday afternoon so I don't have to be up at the crack of dawn after the game) -

Coach from Airport to Dublin City Centre Booked -

Staying at the Lansdowne Hotel -

Dont have a ticket for the game, was too late for the Shelbourne 3 in one deal, in so much as I was travelling & by the time I was home & decided to take the plunge remaining tickets were very deep into home team territory & didnt feel comfortable taking the risk - Over the last few days I see at least one poster has received an email from Shelbourne indicating "no away support in the home end" judging by how many tickets the Palace contingent seem to have bought I struggle to see how they are going to police that, but that's another story -

In any event I will be hoping to get a Palace away ticket somehow - not enough Parish points (3250) so its going to be someone's last minute cancellation or I will watch the game in the hotel bar or some other local sporting / drinking venue.
