Distant fan bases

Heard they meet in the Front Lounge, Dublin but that was a few years ago. Bumped into two Palace fans where I live but they weren't really as long term as myself. Had one guy run out of a shop to speak to me because he couldn't believe I was walking around in a Palace hat. His question was "are you an actual Palace fan?". Turns out his Mother is from Croydon (Croydon Irish) but lives here now.
What's more worrying is I've genuinely seen two Brighton shirts. Degenerates.
Surely if they're meeting up in Dublin, they're missing a trick if they're not meeting up here:

I'm slowly starting one here in the Algarve. Me, my 1 yr old son and my 2 Portuguese nephews (8 & 1). Hoping to take the older nephew back to London with me for a game towards the end of the season.

I also convinced my Kenyan friend to be a Crystal Palace fan so there's a fan group of 1 in Nairobi as well ! 😆

Does he meet up with himself in a bar somewhere to watch the games? 🤣

He might at least look a bit happy to be there!

Not sure we count as 'distant' but there's nearly 160 members of the East Anglia supporters ❤️💙
I used to belong to a Palace fan group way back when called 'Eastern Eagles' I lived in N'pton at the time. One of the guys got me tickets to the old Wembley for our play-off final v Sheff Utd.

I am surprised at how life-affirming I find it to read this thread - to realise that pretty much anywhere in the world I go I could probably find someone to talk Palace with. Slightly off-topic but I am 57 years old (50 years a Palace fan) and pretty puzzled that at my age Palace can be so important to me, and our results dictate my mood. But it's great to read this thread, and HOL generally, and realise that I am not alone !

Same as you LiH. I'm older than you but nothing gets easier. You'd think when your first game was before any of the current players were born you'd relax a bit. I doubt many of their parents were born when I first went and it still doesn't help.

😆 Your post makes me think of my dad, now 88, and he still gets so nervous he normally won't even watch Palace on tv !

As my dad used to say - When they were handing out luck we were standing there with half a walnut shell.
Would I change anything? Yes. I bloody well would but it's too late now and things could be, and often have been, a lot worse.

There’s a Crystal Palace Singapore supporters group with 50 members that’s been going strong for 10+ years. We gather to watch games on TV in SG (often very late and somewhat sozzled) and attend matches when in England. There’s a busy WhatsApp chat group full of red & blue flavoured discussions and ribald humour. If any Palace brethren happen to be passing through SG and want to meet up then there’s a warm welcome to be found.

[I’ve been supporting Palace for 50 years and following HOL for years as a voyeur (reading almost every thread daily) and this is my first post. COYP ❤️💙❤️💙❤️]
Hi guys. I’ve recently moved to Singapore from South London. Really keen to meet some fellow Palace fans and meet up for games, starting with Millwall. Please let me know how to get in contact with this group. Thank you!

I've been a Palace fan all my life, and my Dad was born in Croydon. We live in NZ, and his brother would come over on Sunday afternoons to watch the match of the day. They would often talk about Palace and what they should be doing. I live in Brisbane and have a fan base: my wife and the cat. We are up at 2,3, or 4 am to watch Palace, apart from the mid-week game we never miss a game. Wouldn't have it any other way. Go Palace! 😍😍😍
