Reported Wycombe have bid £750,000 for Imray. I quite liked the look of him in the under 21's last season and he reminded me of a raw Munoz. Very attack minded and got forward loads. On the flip side it is a decent offer for a player with limited experience at a low level. At the back of mind he has a similar pathway to Jake O'Brien who we off loaded to Lyon for a similar fee only for him to move to Everton for big money a year later.

From what I've seen of him from videos of some of our U21 games he looks too good to let go to Wycombe. Still only 21 so a loan deal with a bigger club would seem a better option. I'm sure he could be worth more to CPFC than three quarters of a million in a couple of year's time.

It's difficult to know how to treat home grown players. Three questions - not specifically about him as a player but generally if he played for someone else:
1. Would we buy him?
2. How much would we pay?
3. What would we do with him?

That's how I usually look at it in regards to our Academy players.

I have to say that Danny is one that I would really like to see thrive at Palace. However, he's unlikely to displace Munoz any time soon. And he's done his time in the Academy game.

I've been to the majority of Bromley home games this season, and there's no doubt that he's capable of playing at a higher level than L2.

A permanent move to Wycombe could potentially lock him into a period of time in L1, although they are making a real promotion bid at the moment. My understanding is that Palace believe a move into the Championship would be a better next step, and also they are happy with him continuing with Bromley.

So unless we need the money or Danny really wants the move, I would prefer to see him stay at Bromley and then see where life takes him in the summer.

It's good to hear from someone who's been watching him and that he's doing well. As you say we shouldn't be that desperate for the amount being mooted so as long as he's content to stay let's see how he develops.

Prefer him to stay at Bromley to end of this season; however a loan to Millwall (I February to end of season would be very interesting

Did well in our academy, did well on loan at Bromley (L2) did well in his loan spell at Blackpool (L1) recalled & now seemingly on his way to WBA on loan, certainly a progressive pathway in a relatively short space of time, it will be interesting to see how he gets on at that level, as a number of posters on here have said previously he is now 22, so in terms of being PL ready he has some ground to make up, I would imagine that the club want him to have at least half a season in the Championship & a full pre season in the summer, just in case we start to see offers for Danny Munoz .

Heard a lot of good things about him, a lot of my mates watch Bromley.
Has he ever played in our first team?
I wouldn’t know who he is , if he walked past me , he’s like the Scarlet Pimpernel

I saw him a lot at Bromley, very good……at that level, definitely in the Munoz mode, but whether he can do it at premier league level is another thing, and despite calling him back from Blackpool it doesn’t look like we’re going to find out, especially now Munoz is back

Same here, saw him play around a dozen games for Bromley . The intention at the end of last season was for him to get a loan into the Championship but that didn’t happen - until now.

I hope he proves himself at that level . I don’t see him getting into a Premier League Palace team much though I’d like to

It’s a shame isn’t it? Because he’s such an enjoyable player to watch, dynamic and always looking to get forward like Munoz, feels like he’s being wasted at the moment

Hugely wasted and he may as well leave. The club could have used Conference league games for a player like Imray who at the very least could be a squad player backup for our wingbacks. The fact we have just refused to develop a player like Danny is criminal.

Problem is that the Academy is also a business and they need to recoup investment, so he is likely to be allowed to leave to cover costs.
Sad but true

Sadly, Glasner isn't in to developing Academy players. He always wants to play his strongest XI.

I think they always say that loaning these youngsters out is part of their development, but it always seems to me that once they start sending players out on loan it’s because we know they’re not going to make it with us, so I make you right

Loans are part of player development.

It’s a big step up from Academy U21 football

If you look at Imray as an example he had actually fallen down the pecking order in that position behind Kpore

This move could be the making of him - I really hope so
