I witnessed Esse on television playing for Millwall match and he was certainly not a stand-out performer.I tend to agree and have posted similar for some time. We're Crystal Palace and we are what we are. We're not Glasner FC oven-ready players when you want. We rely on developing youth or rough diamonds. I'm tempted to say we've missed a huge chance to develop a couple of players this season. It's hard to know because they're not getting the chances. Esse is the main one really. Looked promising, scored on debut. Barely used since. Hooked off for dribbling. I didn't agree with that. I hope he can still shine. I also personally believe Rak-Sakyi is good enough and it isn't long until Imray will be. With Glasner will any ever be used?
I don't think Glasner's and Parish's visions align. Which should all have been discussed but sounds like it's coming out in the press more than in conversations.
When I heard about our interest in him I contacted an avid Millwall supporter whose judgement on football matters I respect. He commented that Esse was one of the best that Millwall had produced for some time but he was one for the future, not PL ready.
