Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool match thread

Never easy being a Palace fan. We should have been out of sight by half time. We rode our luck in the second half and then out scoused them at the end.

I was watching a dodgy stream but I couldn't see clear evidence that Salah had touched the ball, maybe MOTD will be better. Unfortunately if it wasn't obvious then you have to give it even though there is intent.
Watch Dermot Gallagher on Monday morning. He'll say it was a scandalous decision and the ref should be booted in the pouch.

Similar issues but the ball did deflect and the only thing near it was Salah's hand. The deflection was very slight allowing the claim you couldn't be sure he'd touched it.

From the bbc.........."That was scored in the 98th minute, and Liverpool's bench are absolutely furious. There was six minutes of added time." 🙂😎🙂

I re-ran how they covered the final minutes on the BBC Final Score

After the equalizer and into the first few minutes of injury time they were having a bit of a laugh that Alisson was taking a very long time to take a goal kick - they were saying it was a sign of respect for Palace - but maybe that's where the extra minute or two came from

Liverpool time wasting to hold onto an undeserved draw

Had a look at a Liverpool site & they're surprisingly complimentary. The expected moans about their performance and the time of the winner but quite a few worried before the game and saying we deserved it afterwards. Slot was quite flattering too. Strange times.

Yes, very gracious interview from Slot on BBC Final Score

Said Palace deserved to win

As a Palace fan absolutely grounded in reality, I feel we have to be cautious this evening. Liverpool are a good team and I only give us a 50% chance of catching them to win the title.

Let's prepare ourselves for only winning one or two trophies this year because getting carried away might make us look foolish

Its getting easier since May 2025

We have less chance of getting carried away than Mary Knickers has by a sickly sparrow.

Any thoughts on whether Mitchell touched the ball on the way out for the corner we scored from? Sky commentary said definitely yes, but I trust biased Palace fans much more.

So nice to be on the right end of a result like that.

Should have been 4-0 up at half time. We didn't pay for it this time.

Great finish from Eddie, could this be the start of something for him? We’re doing so well as a team he seems under less pressure than he was 12 months ago.

Love this squad, let’s go and play in Europe 😊
