Crystal Palace vs. Brighton match thread

If converted half our chances we’d be laughing. We get into so many good positions. Still we never used to make chances so that is sorted. Next start banging them in.

Shout out to the kid Canvot, thought he had a great game along with Mitchell.

We did look tired at the end though.

Take the point and move on.

Canvot did well and Mitchell continues to improve, but unfortunately, despite some clever play, we still miss far too many chances. These missed opportunities are costing us points.

Most of the lads looked knackered at the end.

A decent performance especially considering we played on Thursday. The fact we didn’t miss Guehi shows how well young Canvot slotted in on that side. Kamada was his usual tidy intelligent self but looked knackered 10 minutes before Glasner finally replaced him. Sarr did a great job for 75 minutes but was invisible for the last 15 and should have been subbed as should Mateta. Ollie clearly doesn’t rate Esse or Uche.

In such an important tie can't say I blame Ollie for sticking with the main men, I reckon,Esse, Uche time will come .

I am pleased with that performance as any this season, taking into account the heavy fixture schedule, tiredness and knocks.
Sheer bloody mindedness, resilience and determination to give nothing away.
We know Wharton, Sarr and Richards are all not 100%, that Mitchell was crocked from about 60 mins and that we were without our skipper.
Richards and Mitchell in particular excelled, but I would also commend the defensive efforts of the exhausted Sarr and Mateta, even if they couldn't contribute offensively towards the end.
A draw was about right and their keeper was busier than ours in terms of saves.

Excellent defensive display, which was significant given Guehi's absence. Mitchell probably motm, but Canvot was excellent. He has similar qualities to Guehi (pace, passing, composure) so it gives me confidence heading into the future. Up top, no one showered themselves in glory: indecisive, incorrect decisions, poor first touch, misfiring. However, until they got to the final third most players did well. Second half we looked tired and Brighton controlled the game without ever looking threatening, so while we had the best chances a draw is probably a fair reflection of the game.

Great performance very solid but Mitchell was awesome MOTM kamada run himself into the ground and Lerma , the only one who didn't was henderson which I would love every match done his job when needed , pity Wharton wasn't fit enough to get the 90 mins , another point and think 3 defeats in 25 I think , onwards and upwards 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅

Predicted a draw, ended up a draw. Too many games for a small squad means we offer very little last 20.

Xmas and the final conference league games could be a very testing time for us.
