Thank f*ck for Sarr. JP got a brilliant assist but otherwise had a mare. He has an amazing touch one minute then hopeless the next. Seems to score when he doesn’t have time to think but awful when he does. Hope he rediscovers his touch for the weekend.
Overall a decent team performance and a good result. Weed up next.
 
A great match to watch, despite a sprinkling of errors, but they are inevitable in a game like this when a lot is at stake for both sides. Alkmaar looked good at the start, but faded. We bossed it thanks to Ollie and his tactics. OK, some of his subs may have seemed odd, but, hey, we won didn't we?

Great night and so good to feel the Holmesdale bouncing even on the telly. Well done lads. Now for Brighton.
 
Good result but , Mateta worrys me he either works the keeper or very close , which he is not doing but all good strikers struggle at some point , scum next he loves a goal against them , so next con match is a must win to show we are the team to beat , so another win for the mighty eagles 🦅🦅🦅🦅
 
Cracking result. After a tricky first 10 minutes we mainly bossed it and could really have been out of sight after the first half. Getting into the top 8 would be so good as it'd ease the fixture congestion a little.

Hopefully Mateta is just saving his goals for Brighton.

It’s crazy that this team can dominate a game as much as Palace did tonight… with 35% possession. Great result, good performance and we should be in half decent shape for Brighton

12 points from 6 games should be enough. One of several teams with 11 points finished 8th last year. So two wins from final 3 games probably needed but I think there are advantages in finishing as high as possible. One more point is likely good enough to finish at least 24th and not get eliminated at the league stage

Top 8 after the league phase qualify directly for the last 16. Those teams ranked 9. - 24. play KO-qualifiers (home and away) in February for the the remaining 8 places.

Ye it'd be very useful to finish top 8 and skip the two additional playoff games... Especially as we'll have started our path of retaining the FA Cup by that point 😉
