CPFC v Millwall Match Thread

Was this a serious reflection club run or a sarcastic f off from them?
Sounds like it was fan inspired. Their version of The HOL is called House of Fun. This is a restricted site you cannot view it and apparently they no longer accept new members.

My mates belong and you can guess why it cannot be viewed by the public. Apparently all the top Millwall fans are members so this is how they communicate, the younger ones no doubt use social media but the driver for most of this stuff comes from HOF.

Alas there are some boneheads, curs and varmints amongst their support base.
Worthless bags of buffalo snot.
😡
They do have one advantage in life. Their simian appearance enables them to pick up dog ends in the street with no loss of dignity.

An echo chamber, perfect for them.

I don't know when JP will be back on the pitch but the old man did remind me that Trump got shot in the ear and he was campaigning the next day 🤣

It is being reported that the applause after 8 minutes of last night’s game was for their goalkeeper and not Mateta

Reports are that they were showing support for Roberts after the stream of online abuse he's been receiving. In any scenario, online abuse isn't really acceptable, so I have no problem with this 'minutes applause' if that was indeed the case.
They just need to clarify/publicise what the applause was for rather than have people jump to other (rather obvious) conclusions.

Not really surprising they’re just a bunch of thugs who thrive on the misfortune of others. I think we should move on and leave them to their sad lives and their bang average football team. They’ll be bitter about losing Esse to us and that will make it all the more enjoyable when he starts making headlines.
It feels like we rescued the lad . I know he’s from Brixton and came through their youth system but it can’t have been easy being one of the few black players in the squad and playing in front of those fans.

Maybe it was in support of Liam Roberts, but why choose the minute that he committed the foul/assault on JP ? Surely if this was the case then they'd choose his squad number. Maybe it's just me but I can't help thinking it was that vile lot celebrating what he did and using the minute that it occurred.

One thing to remember is that he's their second string - so sh1t. He will likely be off to Fisher Athletic or something at the end of the season.
I don’t believe he intended the outcome but it was serious foul play and both Mateta, and as a result the goalie, are extremely lucky that JP wasn’t seriously hurt. I can’t believe the ban won’t be extended and as for Millwall challenging the FA that is Millwall trying to defend the indefensible as are their fans with all the online garbage. It really doesn’t matter that he is second string and pretty irrelevant…for football he needs a lengthy ban.
It does show that “The no one likes us we don’t care” chant is hypocrisy as they are all trying to justify what happened to everyone else. They also seem to want to take on the role of victims….to me putting them up there with the bin dippers.
Classy club!

Yeah one things for sure, he’s certainly made a name for himself. I and I’m sure most other palace fans had never heard of him until he tried to do his basil fawlty impression. But then I can’t say I know any of their players these days, they’re pretty irrelevant to us now

the technology is nothing to do with the BBC. The banal presenters is totally down to their woke agendas, every match covered now has to have a women on camera, why when they are clueless is baffling.

You are correct Eagle. But if you think that's bad, try watching the football pundits on RTE. Whereas sky has blokes who won the Prem and the Champions League, RTE has had Eamonn Dunphy & Ritchie Sadlier who both played for St. Patricks Athletic, Dublin ( with all the prestige of...Havant & Waterlooville ). Dunphy being the senior pundit cos he also spent ten minutes playing for Millwall.

Every week we have these woke eejits on telly telling us that Carlo Ancelloti or Arne Slot "don't know what they are doing"

An article from the Telegraph by Alan Tyers:

An accurate but not a good article by Tyers.

Steve should not have done the interview as he was too emotional. The interviewer tried to stop him saying something he shouldn't and more or less succeeded in keeping him on message.

However this sums up the scummy media, a Telegraph reporter is moaning that a TV interviewer didn't put the boot in and stir up a load of controversy. How is that good journalism? I believe that is muck raking and he should be ashamed of himself.

I disagree, I think what Steve said in the interview was absolutely bang on and he quite rightly refused to be talked into downplaying what had happened. The media didn’t have to interview him at all so they got exactly what they deserved from it which was nothing other than condemnation.

All of this is now justified by the decision to change the punishment from 3 to 6 games ban.
