I remember that very clearly. An indicator of the state the ground was in at that time that there was spare rubble lying around for use as projectiles.

Me. Even though the united side, with its 'greats, was a formidable one, by this time, age had caught up and we stuffed them, didn't we. Unheard of.

I was there, standing in the Holmesdale end. What made it all the better is that I had taken a pal who was a Manure fan with me! He was one of the plastics, didn't go to many matches, so I was thrilled he had chosen this one. I tried to be nice and sympathetic, of course, but need down I was going "Yessss!"
