Christantus Uche

Finally got to watch Uche’s highlight reel . Had given up watching them as it raises your hopes up .

Impressive . A couple of really nice goals , lots of wining contested possessions , several runs through traffic which would have easily made it to an Eze highlight reel and several zig zag runs that reminded me of a certain player who like to do that on the left wing , even down to the “ being taken out because the defender had no idea which way he was going “

Possibly the nicest thing to see was the number of those runs / regaining possession's which ended up in a pass to a team mate in a better position.

Yes , it’s a highlight reel , but , he looks the goods . While esse’s reels looked good , nothing like this in terms of the percentage leading to advantage further up the field .

He looks a much better player than i thought, and both footed, a rarity it seems in the modern game, don't you just love the commentator say "it was on his wrong foot"

Reading a BBC article this morning on La Liga he was singled out as an “outstanding player”. Sounds like Getafe needed the money. Looking forward to watching him.

Seems strange then that we don't actually have to pay them til next year.

It helps us with PSR and they may be able to list it on this year’s accounts as money owed/incoming.

We must’ve conducted the transfer in a very good way (take note spurs and Liverpool) for Getafe to be happy with this.

And he must be held in very high regard as their fans are very upset at losing him.

Ceuta's (sold Uche to Getafe) president quoted as saying

“Uche’s money hasn’t arrived yet. He has to play 10 games as a starter for the purchase to be completed; if not, he would return to Getafe,” he said.

“If he reaches that figure, the loan with an option to buy becomes mandatory, and the percentage would be counted against Chapter 1 of the salary cap. If it happens before the winter transfer window, we could use it.”

That's a pretty good deal. Provides a chance to see how he trains, plays and fits in before making a decision. Surprising a selling club would agree to all this unless they're really in financial trouble.

Parish will be on the phone after his ninth appearance.

Found this which corroborates your quotes. seems rather weird to agree to it . . .

Yep does seam a bit odd. Especially if as it says, its starts.

So use him as a sub for the first month or 2 to test the waters before starting to use up the 10 starts.

For my money I reckon he looks decent, we need a decent 'chaos' sub, who is going to bust a gut to make an impact. And he's proved he can do that so far

I can see why they'd agree. He has to START, so we aren't going to be able to take the piss by just using him as a power sub because we'd lose the player back to Getafe. So if we want him he starts, that means the player wasn't considered a squad player when we took him, it doesn't stunt his development more than a season if he's not up to it and we get a guaranteed first 11 performing player otherwise. It's a clever deal which works out for all.

I think he'll end up playing 10 anyway, he's new and Glasner is going to have him training in the system as much as possible to make sure he performs.
