Charlie Hughes rumour

He sounds ideal. It also seems like our kind of signing.
I'm wondering are there any old Delaney's or Cahill's still available on a free? Then we could probably just about handle losing Guehi. Hughes and an older, experienced Centre back with Riad to come back.

Playing style​

Hughes is a commanding ball-playing centre-back, who can also play in midfield. He is extremely comfortable in possession with an exceptional passing range. Strong in defence and exhibits strong leadership qualities, having captained the Wigan side on several occasions from 19 years old and for most of the 2023–24 season.

He played in the U21 game against Spuds on Friday (Palace won 2;3)
 
just for transparency. I know f*** all about any of the players we have been linked with. I’d never heard of half of them but somebody asked who Charlie hughes was/is. I thought I would be helpful and look him up.

I can do the same for pinto if that helps anybody because I wouldn’t recognise him if he stood next to me.
