Having English players when in Europe is helpful for squad registration.

🙂
I made the mistake of looking at his clips on YouTube from which he looks like the new Van Dyke.
A big unit capable of executing perfectly timed tackles and playing out from the back.

Reports saying he's agreed terms with Rennes. Sod him, he's probably useless. Unless it's false and he signs for us. In which case welcome Franco Baresi #2.

Samson Baidoo of Lens might be a more accomplished player.

In my lothario days I had many a 'Delilah' in my boudoir.
Must mean Lacroix is staying.....the sunshine brings out the optimist in me.

Diomonde from Sporting is probably still our first choice. We may be working on that deal.

Hope you're right but I think two or three bigger clubs will be as well.
Lettuce hope it is not so
If Sage is flexible, he may be content to go for either 2 or 3 at the back. Currentlywe have four Prem starting quality players in Lacriox, Richards, Canvot and Riad - none of whom look likely cover at full-back. If we are looking to buy another, Lacroix is likely to go - almost a guarantee if we play 4 at the back

I think my preference to replace Lacroix (if we have too) would be Yann Bisseck from Inter Milan.
He looked very assured in CL games and was constantly bringing the ball out from the back to start the counterattack.
He was also my first choice to replace Marc.

Read today (article in a French football magazine)that the Rennes offer was rejected as below the €25 mill that Cresswell’s club are after, so could be back on the table.

Glowing reviews of his performances for Rennes this season as he commands the defence from the middle of a back 3 and they sit top of the league. Sounds like exactly what we're lacking. Would have been a modest fee too. But Hobbs got us Disasi on loan, an injury prone free transfer, an 18 year old and a deal wrapped up for player who failed a medical as he'd be injured for the next 6 months.
