If Sage is flexible, he may be content to go for either 2 or 3 at the back. Currentlywe have four Prem starting quality players in Lacriox, Richards, Canvot and Riad - none of whom look likely cover at full-back. If we are looking to buy another, Lacroix is likely to go - almost a guarantee if we play 4 at the back

I think my preference to replace Lacroix (if we have too) would be Yann Bisseck from Inter Milan.
He looked very assured in CL games and was constantly bringing the ball out from the back to start the counterattack.
He was also my first choice to replace Marc.
