This is a good point. Though I've never really understood how those clauses work. Surely any club can match the bid that any club puts in anyway? Or is it just that we have to inform them of the bid and see if they want to match it?
 
Maybe he's doing us a favour? Play s*** for them, get dropped, value plummets, comes back to us on the cheap, hits form again. A big FU for how he's been treated by them.
Or maybe he's just s*** 🤔
 
Wonder if he wishes we was back at Palace (winning 3-1 at Brighton, generally liked by the fanbase) or happy to return to the big boys at Chelsea (losing 3-0 at Brighton, slated by the fanbase). I would have him back.

Average to start. Much better at the end. Fitted like a glove into our back 3.

If he was bang average Chelsea would have sourced from elsewhere, Glasner would not have objected so much and the club would not have had to last minute chase a replacement

OG and Palace seem to have a very positive effect on our players. With us Chalobah slotted into our back 3 format and did a very good job. At Chelsea he seems to struggle (other than his first game back).
If we could get him for £12-15m then great.
Knowing Chelsea they will want double that.

We didn’t get a replacement so it couldn’t have been that important to us. We chased a replacement because of Riad’s season long injury as much as anything else but still chose not to bring one in.

Chalobah is not as good as either Guehi or Lacroix, perhaps on par with Richards. I’ve watched his last two games for Chelsea and he has had very average performances after a good opening game for them.

It was a great first touch and the second and third weren’t bad either. If that had been van Dyke or either of the Arses centre backs, however, I suspect Mitoma would have been “nudged” before he brought the ball down. Van Dyke would have used his strength to push him aside whereas Saliba or Gabriel would have tangled legs with him then gone down claiming a free kick!
 
A lot of Chelsea fans said he was their best defender last season under Poch. He did well playing for OG.
He's not playing great under Moresco.

Maybe i've found the problem.
