Censorship and Social Media

I have spent a lot of time in the USA. We have relatives in Oakland but have also traveled across the whole country. So I have a reasonable understanding.
So have I, but my question was aimed at us in the UK; how do you know that we don't have pride in our nation like you say the Americans have. Why should it be any different, or are you confirming the theory that pride in being British/English is being far right?

Some of us do but we don’t paint the St George’s cross on mini roundabouts or tie Union flags to lamp posts. Local to me is a proud Brit who has flown the Union flag for years but added the Ukrainian flag in solidarity when Russia invaded. He’s not the least far right.

So the bloke you know isn't far right for flying the flag. Just other people then.

So if you fly another flag with a uk/England flag then you can identify as not being far right? But if you turn up outside your local asylum hotel with a uk flag you are far right? Yes?

Anyone who has done it for years and supports Ukraine is unlikely to be, and this person definitely isn’t.

Those who paint crosses on mini roundabout's and tie flags on lamp posts probably aren’t either, but are just angry and gullible. It’s those inciting them with rhetoric who are more likely to be.

No, you’re gullible and have been misled by those with an agenda into believing things can be improved by protesting in this way. Whilst in truth they are adding to the problems.

Of course, that’s a sign of national pride. Not political activism.
"Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness, disregard of all rules and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence: in other words it is war minus the shooting." [Orwell]

So local girls being sexually assaulted by asylum seekers in local hotels should not be protested against. Anybody who does protest can’t possibly be reacting to that ‘problem’ to protect their local community but are being driven by the far right…priceless! The far left turn up with their pre-manufactured placards from outside the area; they are the ones adding to the problem!

Any proof?

No they shouldn’t. They should allow the police to do their job and not divert their attention by the need to ensure they don’t give rise to a disturbance of the peace.

They aren’t “protecting” anyone. Many, it seems, were activists jumping on a bandwagon.
