Bringing them here, arranging accommodation and putting them through 6 months of adaptation is an expensive process. Which makes it very sad to hear that they are now feeling unwelcome. What are we doing? We need good people so in trying to satisfy the clamour to reduce immigration we are throwing the baby out with the bath water and then shooting ourselves in the foot.

x twitter is the future folks.

This surprised me as I thought it had seen significant decline since Musk acquired it. So I asked Google. It seems I was right. This is what it said:-

It will be interesting to see how many leave, having made a home here. Are you saying there are no home bred good people? Perhaps training our own and our own being accepted in Universities to study medicine may be a help. Or because foreign students pay approximately 3x the fees is why they are being given places over UK students.. this is a fact.

She should've had a free education. I also have a daughter with an MSc and £50k debt, and another who got a nursing bursery to complete her nursing degree

When I lived in Wisbech it really wasn’t so nice. In fact it was quite depressing in several ways. It, or at least part of it, was officially a deprived area. Being quite isolated there were some pretty strange people about. I’ve not been back.for many years.
