To be fair though Penge, the club has been around a lot longer than the 80’sPalace creating fake history again. I've never known this song to be associated with the club and I've been going since the 80s. It's one of many songs that have been popular at football grounds across the country.
It's most famously associated with Leeds United and there are videos of the entire Hull City stadium singing the lyrics. It's also popular with Sunderland, Swindon and Huddersfield so it's a bit odd that Palace are claiming links. But then, nothing new there.
