Burnley Predictions

If the players were getting a break, then this would be a comfortable win. As it is Burnley are on a bad run, and I would suggest that putting the game out of reach in the first half would be our best way to 3 points.

If we score early, 0-1 to us. If not, a dismal draw.

Losing Sarr will be a big blow. Nketiah is next to useless, and our bench isn't encouraging, so we will struggle now until we sign someone or Sarr returns from the AFCON.

Although I think that Glasner should keep his counsel at post match press conferences, he is quite right when he suggests that we did not sign enough quality in the summer.
It was totally obvious that we needed more firepower. A similar player to cover for Sarr and cover for Munoz. What we got has hardly played.

Not good enough for a club that claims to be ambitious.

Here's how to win this game .
In the absence of Sarr , play Mateta and Nketiah up top as a pair to share the workload.
Play Pino as an attacking midfielder behind them where he would be less easy to mask in a floating role where he can find pockets of space.
Have Wharton and Hughes as the deeper midfielders leaving Munoz and Mitchell the freedom to provide the width down the flanks.
Will never happen...and sadly I'll go back to playing amateur Football Manager...

There seems a bit of a knee jerk reaction/prediction after yesterdays disappointment. Lets not forget we had way too much quality for Wolves and should have won by 3 or 4.
I'm going to predict a win. Probably not a big score but we have too much for Burnley.

0-2

A 1-0 win for me provided Glasner has learnt the lesson from the last two defeats and the earlier warning bells, otherwise, I fear we will struggle to get a draw. Sadly, I fear Glasner may be too stubborn to accept the reality of what has been happening.

Bamford said in an interview he was so relived to have left Palace - why suggest to go for him ?
I have no recollection of perusing this interview.
In any event Bamford departed 10 years ago, so a torrent of water has flowed under the bridge since then.
Bamford was available and signed for Sheff Utd recently, I never heard that we were interested in him.Bamford scored for Sheff Utd in their recent home game against Portsmouth.

Finally, apropos a prediction, I would not be surprised if we succumbed to another defeat.

Honestly this game is the perfect storm! Loose 1-0 a few more injuries and Glasner meltdown at the board in the post match interview.

We haven't had typical palace for a while so prepare yourselves!

Guys, have we not learned anything over the years of supporting this club. When we expect to win, we lose. When we're worried, we win.

4-1 Palace. Munoz x 2, Mateta and Lerma.
