Brighton vs Crystal Palace match thread

Sage gone tonight..??
Comments like this are way over the top. You won’t want to dwell on this but we have to acknowledge Brighton are currently second in the league with an amazing run of form yet we beat them here early this year after which Brighton fans were calling for this same manager’s head.

There is no denying it, we have some big problems. Parish will no doubt be asking Sage what he will be doing to resolve them next week and Sage will have some answers I am sure. He seems an intelligent manager not given to histrionics or panic an£ it’s up to him to work this out.

Ffs the bench arguing with their bench. It’s like kids football where one of the dads can’t take the fact the other team are better. Just f***ing embarrassing and pathetic.

Ahhhh. Sense at last! 👏

This is one of the rare occasions I'm embarrassed to be a Palace supporter.

Having followed our club for the best part of 70 years I've witnessed some dire games, but this is one of the worst I can recall.

It's as if our players have only just met for the first time on the bus to Brighton and decided to play a game of football for fun without any idea of tactics or training.

Something's gotta give.
Like I've said in other posts, it's like a kick about in the park. And that comes down to Sage.

This game reminds me of when Wigan beat us 5-0 many moons ago when Kember got the boot. A total shambles, battered and totally outplayed in every department
And I believe Jordan, ignoring normal etiquette, strode into the dressing room straight after the game and delivered his own rollocking, and offered to reimburse the visiting Palace fans with their travel expenses.

Brighton fans were calling for Huzeler to be sacked last season, how times change. They sold their best CB and Welbeck their top scorer, bought unknowns and are now flying.

We have to acknowledge though that it simply isn’t working with him in charge though. Not saying it can’t work but it isn’t. We are almost 20% through the league season and we are the worst defense in the division. There is no obvious plan to change this and no signs it’s improving. In fact it looks like we are getting worse. Something has to change. Whether that’s the tactics or the manager remains to be seen but it can’t go on like this.

You don't even know this is down to Hobbs it's people just guessing and not even understanding how structures work.

Hobbs does not just go out and buy who he likes this is not how Palace works.
Clearly we know that Hobbs doesn't take a chequebook out and prance around the world on his own buying up who he fancies.
He is the one however IN CHARGE of fuckin recruitment mate, therefore he cops a good deal of the responsibility for the players we are able to put out.
I would suggest his choices are not upto bleedin standard.

I thought we had some progress in the Leeds game and that the system was beginning to work. But we've regressed since then.

Sage needs to show some flexibility in tactics if he's going to stay. Whilst he's been quite good with substitutes in previous games not in this one. McNeill for Timber at half time was never going to fix this. Lerma - not on till after the fourth - should have been half time or earlier. JPM and Nketiah (not Sarr??) on...we will see.

If Sage goes, it's not so much for me a question of who comes in, but when the new guy gets to make a difference given our fixture list with us playing a game every three days.

The disaster that’s been waiting to happen. Most could see this coming. One things for sure if we cant change this way of playing this wont be the only trouncing we get and thats before Christmas. I am not normally one for rapid manager change, but got a feeling it will be the only answer.
