Why yet again 2 goalkeepers on the bench and where are Sosa and Hughes?

Must have knocks or illness as they'd definitely have been included. Good to give a few players a breather... Although it will likely end in a poor performance from us. Hopefully not though. A chance for a few back ups to prove something!

The team makes total sense to me. We have only one opportunity to get some silverware this season, so resting players makes total sense.
On the other hand, looking on the bright side, we are still not statistically safe from relegation but should be if we were to win today. I am hoping for a point.

I’m also glad to see key players like like Sarr, Wharton and Mitchell on the bench. We can’t risk any of them getting injured before Thursday.

Understand the need to rest some players and give others a game who haven’t featured much lately, but cannot see any logic in wasting a place on the bench for a third goalkeeper. Surely better to give a youngster a day with the first team. Sosa is obvious replacement for Mitchell but not even a sub. Both him and Hughes seemed fine on Thursday so can only guess as suggested they are now ill or injured!

I think it's quite a clever set-up. Hopefully I'll still be saying the same at the end of the match 🤣

This isn't exactly the reserve team, and all three got on the pitch last Thursday, but interesting that Pino, Larsen, and Johnson all start in a team selected to rest key players. That's over £100m of attacking 'talent' the manager does not evidently consider it necessary to rest or protect. Hard to argue with him.

Do you have two goalies on the bench in European games and he's broadly keeping a smaller but similar thinking to the prem? There must be a reason.
I think we can over read this. Glasner has already made it clear in public he does not rate our young players. He’s hardly played them at any stage so he isn’t going to start now in a premier league game. No point having players on the bench he is never going to put on the pitch
