Bournemouth vs. Crystal Palace match thread

That would be my one consolation if the worst did happen, the meltdown on here from those that are so cock sure it won’t happen
tbf I was one of those not so long ago🤣
As I have said on another thread - for us to go down would mean West Ham and Spurs to both have near perfect endings to the season, i.e. Champions League form. And also, as someone has pointed out above that means Leeds lose two of their last three and they are on the same points and only +1 better on GD. So that pushes them close to the trap door. Leeds beating Spurs at the weekend also guarantees their safety too.

I'm a pessimist when it comes to Palace and scarred by Oldham but even I am about 97% certain it's going to be Spurs or West Ham going down.

Just a reminder we played Man City and Arsenal in our last to games in the Oldham season as well, let’s hope lightening doesn’t strike twice 😉

Shame if we do go down, because I’ve already done Lincoln away 🤣

I don’t know about Riad. He was a liability in the first half. Miles out of position a lot of the time and some very poor decisions. At one point he was ahead of our midfield and went to ground missing the ball and letting them break up field. Also looked off the pace and physically lightweight. Did improve when Mitchell came on but looks a long way off being somebody we can trust regularly in the league.

I agree with the light weight comment. Definitely not strong on the air etc. I don't think he could play in a back 4 ATM, and the left of a back 3 is his only position (albeit that's the position we bought him for).

I'll give him time as he's been injured for almost 2 years, but needs a good pre season and hopefully some gym work.

Like what I have seen of him so far. Good on the ball, quick enough and don't forget he had Delvenny on his left. Give him time and with our young French starlet at 19 we have two gems in defence.
