Aston Villa Predictions.

It suits them a lot better than the current formation. Chalobah has played numerous positions including midfield. Sarr is a winger which he could play here. Munoz is a makeshift player in that position I will give you. Mind you OG played him as a wide forward in the last 15 against Wolves. At the moment OG’s formation has Mitchell, a defensive left back, playing as an attacking wing back, Sarr, a left winger, playing on the right and any one of a about three players out of position as a left sided attacker (with Eze out). Last game also had Guehi in centre midfield due to injuries.

I don’t think my formation is any less balanced than OG’s and has the advantage we don’t get as easily overrun in midfield like we have in 9 out of the 11 league games we’ve played this season.
Sorry but if you look at Sarr’s career stats he has played 152 games as a right winger, 51 as a left winger, and 42 as a centre forward and only 2 games where you’re suggesting he should play.

Thank you for letting me know, but for anyone falling for the same embarrassment, the soccer match being discussed in this topic is NOT being played today.

It is currently scheduled for NEXT Saturday. Date will be 11/23/24
Venue is The Villa Park Birmingham Arena
Google Rating is 4.5 with an assortment of circa 8800 opinions based on the arena.

Considering the margins within our previous soccer matches have been incredibly thin, the treatment room crisis has not helped matters, especially in our quest towards attempting to secure European football, as a number of supporters were hoping for during the pre-season timeline.

The London World broadcasting desk has today reported that 3 influential players are expected to return to the team starting against Aston Villa Park FC.

R.Chadi
E.Eze
J.Lerma

Personally with the personnel mentioned above, I sincerely hope we return to the Eagles nest with 3 worthwhile points against a soccer side experiencing a form of disarray currently.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend

If you're going to wind people up, at least get your facts right.

3-0 Villa. We tend to collapse late on after giving up a goal. Made Fulham look like peak Real Madrid. Expect us to be bottom after the congested Christmas fixture period. We need at least 4 decent players in the January window to bring about a change in the effort of the team, and not players like Franca and Kamada.

Well I’m afraid that Dougie & co will tell you that the club has just bought 4 decent players and spent all the available money, so good luck with that.
The only positive re villa is that Kamada is banned and while I have always loved Clyne it’s a bit embarrassing having to wheel out a 37 year old ex youth player to help us out.

There is another positive. Villa play Juventus after our game next Wednesday, so they may be 'saving themselves' and/or resting one or two key internationals.... I still think we'll lose 2-1.

A little early for predictions, as I'm not sure who is available to play for us.

Villa's great start to the season has somewhat fallen away. They haven't won in 5, and I suspect were very glad of the International break. A very winnable game, and one that I hope we can field a competitive team for.

When a team's on a poor run, we are the gift that keeps on giving.

Blimey, love the positivity from Palace since 64, but without a half-sensible team available I can see nothing but a comfortable defeat, probably 2-0 as Villa will take it easy when they get ahead.

I'm going for 2-0 to Villa, for 2 reasons - firstly we haven't conceded more than 2 in any game this season & secondly that we can't seem to score any. If we score 1 or more, I'll wear my shirt that night & celebrate with a few beers.

The previous results after an international break this season, namely the late 2-2 draw with Leicester and 1-0 defeat to Notts Forest do not inspire me with any confidence. Generally we seem to be sluggish when the squad breaks up so going for a narrow Villa win 1-0, perhaps 2-1.

Agree a toughie but if we can pack the midfield and "terminator" Hughes disables half of theirs then we have a chance. Looks like a score draw but as they've got their own injury problems, and with one eye on next week's European adventure, I reckon we could nick it 1-0.

I can see our chances of securing no goals. We are toothless up front.

However, our defence is pretty good. We only conceded 4 last time round (inc. the 2 knocked off) as they had all the ball and it was shooting practise. It was a question of averages.

Fulham walked through a midfield consisting of a centre half and a lightweight (and then just the centre half). I reckon Hughes and Doucoure will provide a better shield. But...

1-0 Villa
