Arsenal Predictions.

I can see another mid week mauling like last week.

Arsenal are playing very well.
Arteta has said he will not let Liverpool win the title easily
We have semi final in mind
We rarely do well at Arsenal

On the plus side, I have Saka as Captain this week in my FF. So, he is bound to do nothing.
I think that ship has sailed dont you? Liverpool haven't had to fight off any kind of challenge. From anyone.

I can't recall for certain, it may have been the 1998 Cup game. I was just about to enter the ground, when a guy, covering the game live for tv, suddenly shoved a microphone up my nose. " What do you think about the game, today?". I blurted out something like a "backs to the wall job for Palace". 'little possession", "be fortunate to get anything". Some things don't change much. Of course, hope I'm wrong this time. (My sister-in-law apparently nearly fell in her meal, when someone who sounded like me proved to be and was suddenly on the tele!)

I have no expectations of anything bar a thumping tonight. I just hope it won’t be too humiliating. It would be so nice to be going home with a smile on my face as I don’t think I have seen us get a decent result at Arsenal since 1980? Whenever we do well there I haven’t made the match!
Anyway I hope Ollie is sensible and manages the player’s fitness for Saturday giving Devenny, Kamada, Eddie, Franca and Esse some game time. Key to Saturday I believe will be having Hughes, Wharton and Mitchell full of running….but with injuries and suspension we don’t have much cover for those guys.

I think we will win this one . We have a history of deciding the title in the last weeks of the season and maybe its the scousers turn to benefit .
We will of course spoil their end of season party at Anfield next month as well .

I'll be watching on TV this evening with some trepidation. Nervous about the result, fearful of injuries and mindful of our biggest match of the season in 3 days time.

Ollie seems his usual calm self, but I imagine he'll be on tenterhooks as will most of the team. A nervy game all round because Arsenal will have PSG on their minds too.

Not expecting us to come away with any points, although I do hope we give them a good match and that we don't get hammered. A draw will be a fabulous result.

That's all very well if it happens, if you pick the first 11, you still risk the fact that we get hammered, so the bit of confidence gained is lost, and i can imagine the calls of fancy playing him, it could go horribly wrong if we play first eleven, i dont care if we lose 10-0 against Arsenal, if it helps us get to the final.
Yes, but playing a 2nd string and getting battered 10-0 also has its drawbacks. For one, it never really seems to work.

We have lost the past 6 matches against Arsenal. The last time this happened was 2005 - 2015 and the sequence ended in an away 1-1 draw.

I'm going for 1-1 again (or 3-1 defeat to hedge my bets). I don't want to conceded early.

After last nights defeat for Villa, a draw may give us the edge in confidence for the weekend.

It feels like they always beat us, which is becoming annoying.

Mon 4th April 2022 won 3-0 home, last time we beat them i believe, 18th Oct 21 drew 2-2 away, same season.
you are correct.

18 Oct 2021 Arsenal v Crystal Palace D 2-2 Premier League
04 Apr 2022 Crystal Palace v Arsenal W 3-0 Premier League
05 Aug 2022 Crystal Palace v Arsenal L 0-2 Premier League
19 Mar 2023 Arsenal v Crystal Palace L 4-1 Premier League
21 Aug 2023 Crystal Palace v Arsenal L 0-1 Premier League
20 Jan 2024 Arsenal v Crystal Palace L 5-0 Premier League
18 Dec 2024 Arsenal v Crystal Palace L 3-2 League Cup
21 Dec 2024 Crystal Palace v Arsenal L 1-5 Premier League

Both teams have important semi finals coming up and I suspect will not fancy 50/50 balls so it could be a case of after you Claude no Algernon I insist after you. That said I fear another thrashing. I am on holiday in Peru with a gooner (nice chap) he's already booked flights and room for the final not because of arrogance but necessity the prices will be sky high if they beat PSG so cheaper to risk it now.

I was given enough this friendship bracelet by a porter on the Inca trail look familiar?

If they had needed to win for Euro place I would have gone for the 5-0 score line but I think after going 3 up they will relax and lose interest and we might get one back . So a 3-1 loss it is 👍 COYP ❤️💙
