Arse in the Arthur Wait

I saw something kick off in the AW when they scored their first goal although not sure exactly what happened but what astonished me was after the final whistle, when Arsenal players went over to their fans, the number of people who eagerly started filming was a real surprise. I saw one bloke who was challenged as to why he was filming this who replied that it was 'none of your business'. It seems that despite all the efforts of the club, lots of Arse fans (who manged to keep quiet during the game) did manage to get into the AW. 😕

To be fair, it is none of their business as to why he was filming

No surprises there thats how they support at home 🤬

London bridge train station before the game was fun yesterday, loads came up to me wishing us good fortune on Wednesday, even those in Spurs, WH & Fulham shirts -

During the first half I saw maybe 20 people at various times that arrived after the game had started and needed to be shown to their seats so they were clearly not the usual seat holder, one couple arrived about 30 minutes late.

There was one guy in the main stand close to me (I am in G so he was in F) who seemed particularly consumed with trying to point out Arsenal supporters around him, he was quite accusatory with several people & took photos of people he was accusing to show the stewards, he was certainly a key accuser of at least 2 guys that I saw being walked out during the second half - in all honesty I was surprised that there were so few of them (Arsenal fans) at least none of them were stupid enough to wear colours -

Yeah random pairs of black fellas in the holmesdale , some of them with Palace scarves on. When we singing “we know where you are , we know where you are, Arsenal supporters we know where you are” they was looking sheepish. 🤣Yesterday was like a pre season friendly though, just a distraction before the main event on Wednesday. Me and my youngest was in Beckenham Nando’s by the time the full time whistle went.
I’ve been in a lot of away ends, never celebrate Palace goals etc, safe in the knowledge that if I was to get a slap, it would 100 percent be my fault.

Sounds like this nutter was causing more trouble than the people he was accusing. There always seems to be someone more interested in looking for trouble than watching the match. As long as these people were being sensible what harm were they doing? We all like to chat to opposition supporters on the trains before and after the match, why do they become periahs if the only way they can see their team is with a ticket in the home end?

If you haven’t had to go in the home ends to watch Palace you ain’t lived , I’ve done Forest , Charlton standing , Bury standing , QPR standing , Arsenal in the seats , Norwich standing , Just off the top of my head , Charlton and Arsenal were rather eventful lol .
If they behaved can’t see it being a problem ..

I was in the Millwall end when we lost 3;0 & George Burley got fired about an hour after the game -
One of my younger brothers is a Millwall fan & it was the only way we could get tickets -

Just googled the date , it was NYD 2011

I was in the clock end when we got relegated.
Coventry end when we got in the playoffs (brian dean West Ham goal).
Millwall end when we beat them 3-1 about 20 years ago.
The Charlton end , when they was playing at Selhurst.

Anyone been in the away end at Palace ? I have , my mate came down from Birmingham , with Barrington Patterson, was meant to meet them before the game , but they was late, so I went in the Birmingham end , was a bit weird.

Away fans could easily be stopped from getting tickets if you used ID only entry and attendance records.
ID entry is common practice at tourist sites abroad.
The club obviously weren’t bothered.

Me and a mate were in the Whitehorse Lane end when we won our very first league game against Arsenal back in 1979. I can't remember who scored (Nicholas? perhaps not that was against Man U) but when we did score what turned out to be the only goal of the game, the two of just stayed quiet.

I saw pictures of Arsenal fans in block B of the Holmesdale after the game watching the champions ceremony in Arsenal shirts! Granted a lot of Palace fans would have gone home at this point but I thought that was a piss take.

Not to mention all the local Arsenal fans who never go to games turning up after the final whistle to "takeover" Selhurst and wait for the Arsenal players. Made a right mess of their own town as well, dickheads!

Apparently stewards let Arsenal fans in after the Palace award ceremony. Must have been pre-planned as so many were waiting outside LH and we saw loads making their way to the ground, all in brand new Arsenal shirts, 🤣. It’s a shame that genuine Palace fans were not allowed to forward their season tickets to their own family.

It’s all about the money, my mate couldn’t go and would’ve transferred his ticket to my daughter, but instead she had to pay £64

I fancy I could still get a goal for Palace, even at my age, however this was little before I was born so must have been someone else.
