Ann Widdecombe

It wasn’t “pushed”! It was reported, just as it should be. The police aren’t fools. They know what’s going on via the intelligence they have. Some have been bailed whilst investigations continue, another admitted possessing an offensive weapon. Concealing the evidence is something such people do, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

If the police say they are aware of a rising threat from the right then I for one am glad they are responding to it.

The media and the government hyped it as proven as a "Far right terror plot" all across headlines before any charges were made. Then they quietly admitting no terrorism evidence. That's the push 👍🏻

Two tier....yet again. 😴

Good point. Kinda reinforce's the deep state intentions then.

Can we see a right wing nutjob having his social media scrubbed?

Thing is...."right wing nutjobs" are very few and far between. Closest you get is someone throwing a wheelie bin in the direction of a police office or stomping on some flowers in epsom.

I suppose I ought not be surprised but the level of conspiracy theory has reached a record high over this tragic event. Assumptions based on nothing other than naked prejudice are converted into certainty in the blink of an eye.

I don’t know why Ann Widdecombe was murdered. Nor, it seems, do the police, yet. They know the how, but not the why. They may never discover the why. Only time will provide anything more than we already know.

Turning this into a blame circus achieves nothing and helps no one. Those who participate in it are a discredit both to themselves and to the causes they promote.

"Since then, we have made extensive enquiries, but at this time, we have found no evidence to support anyone being charged with any offences linked to the alleged threat."

Hang on, you aren't making sense.

Your faith in the Police....as we have seen from previous on this forum....have been the subject of much criticism.....your excuses for the Police not accepted in official reports on rape gangs.

So for one, your track record isn't great.

However, specifically on this case....media were told by the Police and government ministers that this was a 'far right terror plot'.....We would expect to release such a damning statement that they must have had evidence for that.

Yet there are as of yet zero charges other than an illegal weapons charge for one person having a stun gun and two batons..

Yet shortly after these statements we find that most arrested have been released most and bailing a minority pending searches.....that does not smack of having evidence of a murder plot.

That sounds more like fishing.....after which they appear to have made extensive searches and found nothing.

This is quite damning and flies in the face of their own advice.

Apparently we aren't mean to speculate, yet this particular case has been branded right from the start from the highest ladders.....How would anyone meant for a trail get a fair one after the Home Secretary has already branded it a 'far right terror plot'.

Again, this comes across as narrative control and nudge unit behaviour and it gives plenty of evidence to those who question the honesty of the state.

The police have a job to do. Which is to keep the peace. If they say there was a “far right terror” plot not only do I believe they know there was one but that them saying so was done because of their need to keep the peace. They were letting whoever was behind it know that they know, in order to stop it.

Then shaking down those they regard as suspects is added to the warning. That some have managed to avoid having dirty hands doesn’t mean they haven’t used soap. When facing an imminent threat taking whatever actions are needed to save lives can be justified.

It worked. Rather better than letting it happen and then arresting people afterwards.

I just want to highlight something the Met have stated about this case.

Commander Helen Flanagan, Head of CTP London said: 'this has been a fast-moving investigation after we became aware of information to indicate there was a potential threat towards the Islamic event over the course of last weekend.'

I have highlighted the two pieces of the statement that are of concern.

First, 'we became aware of information', well if this investigation turns up no charges against these released and bailed people, then I think the source of this 'information' should itself be investigated.....will it be? I have no faith in the Police personally.

Secondary, the use of the word 'potential'......Now, personally I have no problem with the Police saying that.

However, that wasn't what the Home Secretary nor the Prime Minister said.....Let me reproduce their statements released on the very cusp of these arrests.

From Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood:

'@TerrorismPolice are leading an investigation into a credible threat to those attending the UK Ijtima festival this weekend. I thank Suffolk Police, Counter Terrorism Policing, and the organisers for their swift and effective response that undoubtedly saved lives. Twelve individuals have now been arrested. I know this is deeply concerning news for British Muslims. We must stand against hatred and we must unite around our shared belief in a country that is open, generous and tolerant to all our communities.”
'.

From two tier Keir:

'Shocking news that Counter Terrorism Police are investigating a credible, serious threat targeted at an Islamic event in Suffolk. Thanks to the quick action taken by police and the organisers, nobody was hurt. My message is clear: I will not tolerate any attacks on our Muslim communities, or any form of anti-Muslim hatred.'

Where is this concern for speculation here?

I don't think that's what police shakedown means.

We the public are literally told not to speculate.

Yet you write this and essentially it reads like..... 'Trust me bro'.

Errrr....No.....that's the reasoning of a banana republic.

Where's the evidence? People can't just make claims and then nothing happens.

We were told credible and serious from the PM.....Then the Police say extensive searches have been made and they have found nothing.

You suggest that people have been stopped from something.....Where is your evidence for that?

The anti Terrorism Police taking over is a very big clue, not a conspiracy theory but a fact. Do they take over every murder or do they leave those up to local murder squads?

Ah, you see you have been taken in by the statements that is was a right wing terror plot ( of which there was absolutely no evidence). You appear to be saying, just because nothing has been found, they may still be guilty, quite a conspiracy theory. I very much doubt you would say the same if it was foreigners being arrested or a left wing “plot”, although, of course, either of those scenarios would not have been reported in the same way and Mahmood wouldn’t have made such an statement
What worked? What was going to happen? It would appear nothing but the statement by Mahmood was wrong and total speculation ( or deflection).

of course the most infamous one was probably Anders Breivik from Norway. Interesting that part of his 'radicalisation' was a turning-point he confessed to. Upon visiting the UK and wandering around some of its Northern Towns. I believe it was following a football team, but don't quote me on that.

Relevant here is the way the media covered the Motives of Breivik. Or didnt cover them, as i would like to believe. It was as if a bloke had gone nuts with a rifle cos the local takeaway burger-bar forgot his milkshake.

We may get the name and photo of the killer of Ann W. But will we get to hear about his motives ?

It's amounts to the same thing.

Police and state management would have to agree to that.

And the commentary is very different when it's not deemed to be 'far right'.
We'll see.

If this bloke turns out to be a far left nutter, the media (and accordingly the security services) may go all "Reds under the beds" on us.

The bias will shift with the lucrative story line as the wind does.

Will it come as a great surprise if he does turn out to be a Left advocate who killed Ann out of politically motivated intolerance and hatred?

The people wanted to film the event with a drone and show how radical Islam, Islamic fundamentalism and Sharia law was being massively promoted openly in the UK. Which would be of no surprise to anyone.
Far right plot to film a radical Islamic event.

Where to start: Laura Kuessen erg, right wing….🤣
What about Starmer broadcasting from Ali’s flat, having made it look like his home? Don’t forget the “Russian funded” rent boys
Did Rayner admit the “mistake” until caught out? This is the same Rayner who openly called Tories Scum, is this not hate speech?
Lammy calling MPs Nazis and Facists, is this not hate speech?
Farage has many faults, the Tories deserved to be kicked out of Government but don’t try to make out, they are any worse than many on the left
So that's the same Kuessenberg who sent her briefing notes to Boris in advance of an interview a few years ago and was caught out defending Cummings after his lockdown trip claiming an anonymous source which in fact was Cummings himself. Come on.

Clearly there are issues across all political parties, however, the size of some £5m v £40k is clearly not comparable.

You have a low bar for hate speech. If so Farage must be right up there based on posters and comments on muslims etc

Some of the media perhaps, but not the state nor the Police under the current management.

Burnham literally appointed an ex director of Hope Not Hate as his director of communications.

So the far left are at the heart of government.....As they were with Starmer.....it's a continuation.

Terrible for the country.....Good for Farage......But physically dangerous....glad he's got the money now.

Interested to know what you consider hate speech. Where do you set the bar?
