Ann Widdecombe

Jo Cox's murder was also passed to them, did you not read the image?....the commentary is very different.

The point is in both the reaction of the media and the Police compared to what is called 'far right' attacks.....for example just days after the Widdlecombe murder and as in here with Jo Cox.

The words 'far left' for example have been absence, even though the evidence for that is obvious.

In my view the media, Police management and their paymasters in government have an alignment of interests that have resulted in a two tier treatment of events such as these.
It's not 100 percent to do with this thread; but the murder of Jo Cox by a far right nutter just before the brexit vote was extremely suspicious.

Call me a conspiracy nut (many do) but it could only have hurt the chances of brexit at the time.

Ann Widdecombe's murder seems more straightforward. Far left nutjob.

Or...

Matters are led not by standard police procedure but by PR and anticipating and seeking to manage media reaction of any political leaning.

Maybe I'm wrong but at this time.....I don't believe Britain is important enough for political assassinations from security or intelligence services.....Maybe that will change but that's where I am.

For one, I don't think the state thought Brexit would succeed......and you aren't going to murder someone just on the off chance.

I think both murders were the work of nutjobs....was there a Manchurian candidate situation? I just don't think so......though the beliefs of this current nutjob chime with a lot of funded institutions....But to the extent of murdering people? Cox and Widdlecombe. I don't see it.

I don't believe the vast majority of people of any political group actually think murder is an answer.

You need poverty and breakdown before people start to turn anger and resentment to the physical......Or you need the stakes to be very high, as in America.

Exactly this. No mentions or concerns, yet it's the far left murdering again. Meanwhile ANYTHING anti Islam is immediately jumped on as 'far right' even though it isn't.

Ideology

Right now the BBC have no stories about motives, not one. I recall several on their dog whistling of the "far right terror plot" was given plenty of speculation

Eight more people have been freed from custody, as police continue to investigate an alleged extreme right-wing threat

No charges, no evidence but it's STILL a far right attack threat according to them.

"Cases are escalated to anti-terrorism police when there is a credible suspicion of ideologically, politically, or religiously motivated violence. Specific triggers include evidence of attack planning, possession of viable explosive materials or weapons, and the promotion of proscribed terrorist organizations."

The left still think we shouldn't speculate though. It has been funny to watch them cling to the non existent possibility that he isn't one of them. All currently available signs point towards the obvious.

"Its not looking good, bruv."

Hang on this matter was passed to anti terrorism police.
You are part of the problem.

They have tried to hide and delay revealing the truth about this from day one and even cooked up a counter story to steal the headlines.

Disingenuous turds excusing this make me puke.

Absolute rubbish and you know it. Who are the mainstream media you refer to? Most written media is massively right wing, usually owned by foreign Billionaires. As most written media is loss making ask yourself why you would bother buying a loss making organisation - it's the same as Musk buying Twitter.

Only a few weeks ago Farage described the Times as being left leaning. Absolute bull ocks of course. Not only is it owned by Murdoch is has previously paid Farage to write articles for it.

No doubt you'll say the BBC and Sky are left wing. Most of their political staff look and act like Tory boys and Laura Kuenssberg is about as right wing as you can get. Both outlets have hounded Starmer from day one. Beth Rigby on Sky has been particularly critical.

Compare the coverage of Starmer accepting a couple of pairs of glasses and suits from a Labour Lord (which was declared) v Farage accepting £5m from a crypto billionaire ,which wasn't declared.

Then the property portfolio that Farage owns and has only partly declared v Rayner not paying £40k of stamp duty, which she has belatedly paid , unlike Farage and the Clacton House.

Then lets look at the coverage Farage gets. When he does a press conference it is often shown live. Why? Has a Liberal press conference ever been shown live, yet they have many more MPs.

This media complaint is just following the Trump playbook who discredits anyone who asks 'nasty' questions or queries the rubbish he states as fact.
Where to start: Laura Kuessen erg, right wing….🤣
What about Starmer broadcasting from Ali’s flat, having made it look like his home? Don’t forget the “Russian funded” rent boys
Did Rayner admit the “mistake” until caught out? This is the same Rayner who openly called Tories Scum, is this not hate speech?
Lammy calling MPs Nazis and Facists, is this not hate speech?
Farage has many faults, the Tories deserved to be kicked out of Government but don’t try to make out, they are any worse than many on the left

The mainstream left's response to the Widdecombe murder has been full of double standard.....and it recks of 'nudge unit'.....something I think they would be screaming about if the right wing were using that 'soviet' style manipulation of news narrative.

This guy here raises the left's double standards when commenting on an Alistair Campbell tweet to....I assume due to the donation dig to Farage.

Calling Zia Yusuf thick, shows how thick Campbell is. The same Campbell that has blood on his hands and has never shown any remorse.
As an aside, Zia Yusuf would make an extremely good party leader

I thought this murder was a straightforward left wing nut job event. However the accused has absolutely no social media presence.

You would think that someone like that would. But no, not one post. Even I have a presence on line, on here and occasionally you tube; but he has nothing. It makes you wonder?

I thought it was a lot more straightforward until I saw Carl's video

His social media was obviously scrubbed before his name was released.

He is talented but the rift with Lowe means the right has a level of discord within it which the left and the Tories look to exploit.

The right needs team players.

Last week 12 people were arrested over extreme "right-wing terror plot targeting a major Muslim gathering". It was pushed hard as evidence of rising far-right threats. Days later, police confirmed no evidence to support terrorism charges linked to any threat.

There's your double standard! 👍🏻
It wasn’t “pushed”! It was reported, just as it should be. The police aren’t fools. They know what’s going on via the intelligence they have. Some have been bailed whilst investigations continue, another admitted possessing an offensive weapon. Concealing the evidence is something such people do, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

If the police say they are aware of a rising threat from the right then I for one am glad they are responding to it.
