Either that or a burglary which went wrong - maybe she surprised the bloke who panicked and lashed out. Based on how quickly he was arrested he probably lived locally and was reported by someone who knew him.

It’s probably the most plausible. They’ll have to charge him by tomorrow afternoon so more will come out then l’m sure.

Considering the glee which is going on Bluesky over this, as was the case with Kirk, the motives are multiple. There are a lot of awful people who hate social conservatives and a lot of mentalists......and she was very prominent.

Brings the recent speech on security by Farage into view.

But certainly it could be completely unrelated to any of that.....but she lived very isolated....It's very unlikely you would just stumble on her abode.

You would hope that Ann had cameras at the property at least......though she lived an old fashioned lifestyle.

It's quite sad that the violent death of an elderly politician brings such glee and hatred out from some of those who disagree with her religious , political and UK judicial views , None of which are illegal or classed as hate crimes etc .

She wasn’t though even close to the levels of those you quote. They were genuine conviction politicians. She was just dogmatic. Whenever I heard her trying to defend or justify some of the issues she pontificated on she floundered desperately. Her views were based on the dislike of things. Not the benefits of alternatives.

The 26yr old suspect has been released early this morning and is no longer of interest to the Police .
From the tone of the Police briefing yesterday , It wouldn't be unreasonable to assume it was a done and dusted case especially as they said the locals no longer have reason to be worried if my memory serves me right .
They can drop the UK born White male mantra now ..

Maybe they arrested a known local ‘wrong un” in the hope he didn’t have an alibi?
