Ahamada & Rak-Sakyi

I imagine if we’d had a serious offer for him (either permanent or loan) JRS would have gone. Can only conclude nobody really wanted him or if they did he wasn’t interested. Might be different in January if any Championship clubs need extra legs. Suspect mid Championship is his level. Whether he accepts that is another question

Hmmm...about right Charlton loved him.

In each 25-man ‘List A’, eight places are reserved exclusively for homegrown ("locally trained") players – at least four of which must qualify as 'club-trained'.

In our case, these 'club-trained' players are Nathaniel Clyne, Caleb Kporha, Tyrick Mitchell and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, as they have all been with Palace for at least entire years between the ages of 15 and 21.

Perhaps the reason why Rak-Sakyi did not leave?

No "perhaps" about it.

Can he go in the overhead compartment, or does he have to travel in the hold?

Looking at the Conference League Squad, it seems clear that the club don’t think Ahameda has any future with us. If they wanted to play him, he would have to be given a place in the ‘A’ squad. If they wished to do this, they could free up a place by moving Canvot to the ‘B’ squad as he is under 21 - he could still play in the Conference League under this arrangement. But we have chosen not to do this.

Conversely, some are saying that JRS has only been given a place in the squad to satisfy the requirement for 4 club-trained players in the ‘A’ squad. But is they wanted to shut him out, they could have named Kaden Rodney, who has already been on the bench for the Premier League twice this season, in the ‘A’ squad. The fact that they haven’t done this would seem to indicate that they have a genuine wish to play JRS at some stage in the competition.

JRS and Ahameda both have to be in the Premier League squad as they are over 21, and we only have 23 eligible players for this squad.

(I remember a few years ago we had to release a player because we already had 25 players in our squad. One of our players was long-term injured and had no chance of playing before January, but he still had to be in our squad.)

I suspect we may release Ahameda if we can’t loan him anywhere whose window is still open.

And following on from a comment in another thread, Doucoure isn’t in the squad either. As we have made no similar attempts to juggle our younger players around, this would indicate his injury is still quite serious, and I’m beginning to wonder if he’ll ever be back.

Florian Marange. It was when we were first promoted. He was a fullback and new purchase. I saw him play for us against Bristol City away in a friendly or early league cup game iirc, I recall agreeing with Holloway when he said he was slow, because he wasn't quick enough for the league for sure. He was very upset at this release.

And at 22 years old he needs some sort of a breakthrough this season whether he can convince Glasner or defo go in jan
Assuming you're talking about JRS, then if we're still in the ECL we'll probably need to hang on to him so as to comply with the club-grown requirements (minimum 4 players in the A squad, our other 3 being Mitchell, Clyne and Kporha)
