AFCON and the January 2026 Window

So to make ourselves all feel better after the Leeds result. What's everyone's perfect transfer window (mildly realistic)

Boey / El Ouadhi RB - 12m
Kees Smit CM - 14m
Tyrique George - 20m
Connor Gallagher loan

(Wouldn't mind Brennan Johnson but considering what spurs paid for him I can't see us forking out somewhere close to the 40m they probably want).

Not bad.
There are stories that Palace will open the purse springs in January.
If so this would be uncharacteristic as normally Steve says 'January is a difficult window.....nobody wants to sell so they charge premium prices.'

My guess is one permanent and one loan.

Agree on Johnson, would love it, but, cant imagine how that would happen.

Also dont think that Gallagher would work in our current system, nor would be be a Glasner player.

For me it would be:

Boey / El Ouadhi
Kees Smit
Tyrique George or Oscar Bobb
Jeremy Jacqet- but loan back for the rest of the season

Would keep Uche around and probably send Esse out on loan

I just don’t see how the club are going to lump the cash on Glasner when he’s clearly binning us off at the end of the season. From a fans pov yes, of course the biggest opportunity in a single season we’ve ever had but I don’t see Parish investing in Glasner when another manager comes in for next season.

There could of course be a 'Loan' or two !

Im not sure we need to invest in Glasner so to speak. Think its more of a case of addressing current issues in the squad and/or betting players now that might be off in the summer
