Adam Wharton injury fears

So, according to OG's presser, he & his staff are discussing whether to let AW have surgery or not, but, for the next 3 games he will be in the squads. Ffs, why? Poor lad needs surgery not painkillers.
Exactly why the hell have we delayed this. Could have been done at start of season and he would be back fully fit by now ( having said that, this is Palace 🙄 )

All hard to fathom what is going on with our star?
last year b4 the Brighton game Olise told Roy he was OK - we know what happened next. Players will always say they're fit if they train OK, they deny the underlying issues - the manager shouldn't be so naive or eager to take what they say at face value - I agree with a lot of posters that it was too risky to play Wharton at Villa, and I'm not being Professor Hindsight. At least we've got the break to cushion the blow re amount of games he'll miss - 4 or 5 acc to OG.

This is about time. Adam's problem wasn't going to go away, so at last the proper action will be taken. It's a shame that he's been relied on so much in such a short space of time, but after surgery hopefully he can come back & play to his best. We have a brilliant player here, let's look after our asset & allow him to develop at his own pace.
We have no less than 8 players out injured now & the season's got a long way to go, so we'll need at least some available as cover when things get tough. Let's hope the medical team make good decisions & don't rush players back too early - Glasner's aware of this potential problem & hopefully has some influence.
