The Prem Relegation Dogfight

One of my all time favourite comedy characters as it happens, so please don’t delete 😀
As for our situation, I’m bored with 10th to 15th place, a relegation scrap might be quite refreshing 😇😁
No doubt at all that you will get your wish this season!!

Good job there are three teams that are equally crap - Wolves, Ipswich, Southampton. Those three are still the bookies' favourites to go down.
However, if one of their managers can turn things around, we will be in big trouble.

I wouldn't discount Leicester too. I have been unconvinced every time I watched them. We'll see if they can keep getting last minute goals, but I doubt it. Saints should have been 5 up

Like me Willo you’ve just been going too long, we’ve seen it all before. All these ‘keep the faith’ and ‘in so and so we trust’ merchants get right up my old nose 🤣🤣 a bit of doom and gloom never did Waldorf and Stadler any harm🤣
Same here matey , history has been repeated on more than one occasion, we have kept the faith in the past and been made mugs of and in so and so we have trusted only for so and so to do a runner with a big f*** off bag of money when the going gets tough . The only thing that would surprise me is if we had nothing to moan about . Dont think its ever happened.

Results have been woeful, and in normal circumstances, Glasner would be due for the sack, no doubt about it. However, he has had dreadful luck with injuries, thinking Decoure and Wharton to name but two. Halobah after injury, hasn't done much to convince. Ebbs has lost form and whilst Nketiah is probably an excellent striker, he has either been played out of position or been very in lucky. But Mateta who was great last season, has been dropped and when he comes on Nketiah is subbed. It's highly likely we will lose against Spurs. Then the pressure will be really on Glasner. We have too many players who are either injured or lost form. It's tempting to get a new manager in before the January window. But what happens if we dont get a new manager bounce? Personally I'd stick with Glasner and hope the variuous players who have been injured or lost form gel and start to play together. We have two decent strikers in Mateta and Nkekiah , so surely we need a formation that uses both.

Our injuries aren’t that bad. Two first team squad injured is about what I’d expect at any point in the season. Certainly no worse than any other club. Forest were missing several first choice players on Monday and outplayed us. As for the loss of form that has to be in part on the manager for playing a system that doesn’t suit the players.

We have 4 players out injured atm, Riad, Franca, Doucoure & Richards. Doucoure is out training & should be fit for Villa away in the cup. Holding is basically 'suspended', the worrying one tho is Wharton.

Fair enough but of those you can’t say that Franca is part of a drop in form given he has hardly featured for us since signing. Richards did well last season but I am not sure he’d be in the starting eleven. Riad is brand new and again I don’t know if he’d be in the starting eleven. Doucoure is a miss but that was true for most of last season as well. Wharton has definitely been impacted in terms of form. I guess my point is we are basically not that bad in terms of first choice players being injured compared to other clubs. The bigger issue is losing our best player (nothing we could have done about it), selling arguably our most important defender, bringing in players in Kamada, Sarr and Nketiah who are so far not making an impact and playing the wrong system.

To lose Richards is a good player, we have a smaller squad than most it’s a serious situation and we are further into a relegation dogfight and it ain’t looking good

I am getting rather pessimistic about it all 😢
I dont like to be an " I told you so " type of person i said it about 4 weeks ago , i really fear for our Premier league status this season, never before have i felt it , i dont know if the teams around us have got better or we just got worse or Glasner has been found out or a little bit of all . Bad and all as our form is now it will get worse when MG jumps ship and heads to greener pastures and same with Ebs. the bum will be well and truly squeaking . might have to order some 3 in 1 .

Ipswich currently 2-0 ahead at Brentford. Not good.
