The Prem Relegation Dogfight

Wolves beginning to come out of their slump just at the time we are playing them.
Can only see yet another defeat and the probable sacking of OG,who is proving unable to arrest our slide and collapse to the bottom of the league.

Another last minute equaliser went against us. At Goodison Park.

So much for getting anything for free from the tooth fairy.

Fulham's gold-filling got unstuck by the Toffees.

Ah everton will be fine. Dyche always gets them over the line. Even with a points deduction. It doesn't bother me knowing the scored that. I was however delighted with the brentford winner!

I appreciate that we're happy that Ipswich lost (My God who would of thought at the end of last season we would be celebrating an Ipswch loss in October!)

However what concerns me is those teams around us are scoring goals.. Yes they're conceding lots as well but they do create chances and score. We struggle to create and score which really isn't good.

I genuinely think we're in big trouble this season. People are saying 'There's 3 teams worse than us' Is there??... The table certainly doesn't say that.

The table doesn't lie etc, last season we had 13 pts after 9 games , I was hoping at least this season there would be a nice relaxed last 6 games or so as we would be mathematically safe by then, now I think we will be down to the last couple of games

Admittedly a disappointing start to our season however my view is that it is far too premature to be overly concerned at this juncture of the campaign.
Perhaps in a couple of games I will have an alternative viewpoint with a brow corrugated with worry !

I admire your optimism willo but of all the years for some I feel you picked the wrong one 😂

Given that season after season you were prone to gloom and doom relegation predictions I'm concerned that this post is far too rosy to be taken seriously. What it actually means is that as per your previous prognostications this is the season that we are finally relegated. And there will still be no new stand built...

I watched the Brentford Ipswich game yesterday. The fire in the bellies of both teams was outstanding. Even with a man down Ipswich always looked to turn their fortunes around and equalised fantastically, then almost went ahead.

And when Brentford were in the lead they seemed hellbent on extending it.

We just cannot compete with that. Or it doesn't look like we want to.

Ipswich are running on promotion adrenaline at the moment!
Similar to Luton last year who ran out of steam in second half of season!

Funny enough I’ve thought that about a lot of other teams and games so far this season, we just don’t seem to have the energy and movement of other teams at the moment, it’s all a bit disjointed and huff and puff
