2025 FA Cup Final thread

I’m still in shock! What a day! Cant put the feelings into words that could sum up the occasion.

Me and the sons have no voices. I can’t reiterate this enough..and no way I want to upset those fans who couldn’t get tickets for the match….but the atmosphere in the Palace end was unbelievable!!

When the final whistle went, everyone was hugging each other, crying, shaking heads in disbelief. It was like a HUGE weight had been lifted.

Good to see so many ex Palace players and managers at Wembley.
There was a tv shot of a pensive Roy.
He seemed to be thinking, ‘perhaps I should have taken the cup seriously after all….’

Arsenal fan here. Well done Palace, good to see a new name on the cup. I don't want to claim any credit, but I visited Austria for the first time in March and wore my souvenir t-shirt yesterday just for Glasner. 🤣

Crazy to think that we all witnessed history today. That was genuinely the biggest day in the history of our beautiful club so far.

A day we'll remember for the rest of our lives, a day future generations of supporters will ask us about for decades to come.

Whether or not you were at Wembley today, if you're Palace, you were a part of this. The greatest day of my life hands down
I take you're not married then?

Noteworthy to mention how everything fell into place at the right time, the players appear totally focused with OG's approach - it's just a case of fine tuning, Eze free and natural rather than overcooking the situation, Kamada, linking up play and being in the right place at the right time, Richards, imperious at the back - all have come together to form the greater whole. Obviously the next challenge is to keep the momentum going for next season.

Just watched MOTD and the collage of our FA cup history at the end of the programme to the soundtrack ‘hold my hand’ - if you managed to hold it together yesterday, then I will guarantee this will definitely crack you.

Agreed, absolutely beautiful.

If every palace fan watches that montage to end the highlights programme there won't be any problem with having that song adopted as a new (old) anthem

He was probably wondering if he'd left the oven on. That's unfair, Roy is a Palace fan so I imagine he felt, and feels, exactly the same as we do.
Alongside this, when I saw Sir Steve in the footage I felt utterly sorry for him. He must have been conflicted. No doubt pleased for Palace but there's a man who had one hand on the cup and I just wish so much he'd been able to put his other hand on it. But then yesterday wouldn't have been as special so...

Goodness gracious me !

What a momentous occasion and result, a proud moment in the history of Crystal Palace FC.
I never thought I would see the day that we lifted the FA Cup and my outpouring of joy and elation at the final whistle will live long in the memory.I was glowing with happiness, my ageing face wreathed in merriment and I was beaming akin to a TV game show dollybird.
I am so proud of the team and Oliver Glasner has elevated us to another level.

I was lubricating my larynx into the early hours and rest assured there was a rigid non-observance of teetotalism ! Copious quantities of intoxicating liquid were consumed with glee and I am feeling the effects as I type! Pass the 'Smelling salts' Petunia!
What a marvellous day ! 👍 👍
