And possibly Sir Gareth Southgate. 👍I reckon this will be our last season of our best ever manager.
Other "bigger clubs" will be after him and especially if they don't have to pay a release clause if he doesn't sign a new contract.
But don't worry Sean Dyche will be available next year....
I agree. We should have had all our signings made before we went to Austria.I’ve already resigned myself to him leaving at the end of the season or earlier.
And we have no one to blame but ourselves - he was explicitly clear about his frustrations last season, our results suffered massively as a result, we made assurances and promises to correct the mistakes, and here we are doing exactly the same s*** again.
A really poor showing from the club - the Europe stuff is somewhat out of our hands, but the way we do our transfer business just feels amateur.
You make it sound so easy when in reality it is not. Even Newcastle are struggling to get deals done.I agree. We should have had all our signings made before we went to Austria.
We can make excuses oh but textor was selling his sales and had to wait for Woody Johnson to complete or UEFA blah blah blah.....thing it is happens every single summer regardless of these and other factors.
I expressed these very sentiments to a supporter I met at the weekend and he was wholeheartedly in agreement.I think our time as Palace supporters peaked when the final whistle blew on May 17th anyway. It will be all downhill from there. 😅
I still think there is one more season of success of some sort. Whether Glasner realises or not he was made for PalaceI expressed these very sentiments to a supporter I met at the weekend and he was wholeheartedly in agreement.
In actual fact from a professional point of view it is in Glasner's interests to depart in short order when his stock is at such an elevated level as we will not emulate our successes next season and the campaign could be somewhat disappointing.Indeed I appreciate that I can be a 'Glumbucket' !
Indeed! We‘re doomed! 😉I think our time as Palace supporters peaked when the final whistle blew on May 17th anyway. It will be all downhill from there. 😅
I agreeWhen Glasner initially signed it was a 2.5 year contract, which is quite short.
He is clearly ambitious and probably sees Palace as a good stepping stone opportunity. Perhaps he also realises that his 'methods' seem to be most effective in the 1st couple of years as he has not stayed at previous clubs beyond a couple of years.
This the summer he had every opportunity to extend his contract on massively improved terms and has thus far declined. That is 100% his prerogative.
Clearly he is not happy about the lack of signing - who wouldn't. However, we are not alone here - Newcastle and Everton have also expressed similar frustrations.
Ultimately we knew what we were getting from Glasner.
He would give us 2.5 years and then probably leave - it is what it is.

are you for real comparing us with money clubs , why didnt you say Arsenal , Bayern Munich , Barcelona , a well I mean there not much bigger than us 🙄I think we had every chance to convince Glasner we were credible enough for a longer tenure, but we've failed to do so.
I doubt even Glasner was expecting a major trophy within 2 years - I'm confident that if he felt the platform was there for the club to kick on from there, he would be interested in being part in it.
Newcastle are competing with Champions League clubs and have made huge offers for Ekitke and Trafford which were trumped by Liverpool and City respectively.
They have still made a huge signing in Elanga and look like they are going to confirm Ramsdale today.
Everton have signed 4 players including Alcaraz (£15m) and Thierno Barry (£27m).
We have managed far less than either of them.
Sorry, you're here comparing Everton with Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Barcelona while asking me if I'm for real? 🤣are you for real comparing us with money clubs , why didnt you say Arsenal , Bayern Munich , Barcelona , a well I mean there not much bigger than us 🙄
Love how a story can be made on here without hearing Glasner say them on camera , I mean the press never remove or add words to a statement do they mmmmmmm
That's them relegated then !I think we had every chance to convince Glasner we were credible enough for a longer tenure, but we've failed to do so.
