Semifinals - FA Cup

Forest are a good team and have been very consistent all season.
In many ways they remind me of our team. Like us us they have an excellent organised defence with very good central defenders. They have a creative attacking player in Gibbs White, while we have Eze.
They play with a sole central forward like us and have a pacy inside attacker in Elanga whereas we have Sarr.
A game v Forest could go either way.

A semi final against Brighton would have been worse than a final against anybody in terms of nerves and pressure. Obviously if we'd won that game it would have been fantastic but a loss would have been equally awful.

Given how well we're playing away from Selhurst, I fancy us against anybody at Wembley in a one off.

Make that a two off

The FA and television companies must be terrified at the prospect of Preston, Bournemouth, Palace and Forest competing for the Cup. Harking back to our two previous finals with the dodgy draw in 1990 and the referee in 2016 I am concerned that there may be plans afoot to ensure the ‘dream’ Villa versus City final comes to fruition. We have already thrashed Villa twice this season and given City a run for their money at the ‘cardboard fortress’ Selhurst Park. So don’t be surprised if the draw pulls City v Palace and Villa v Forest.

Of course if the two minnows pull off spectacular wins today it may be worth a tentative trip down to Croydon to check out some viewing spots for the victory parade!

You could well be right - City is a 'golden child' of the Prem and the President of the FA is a Villa fan.........
need we say more?

Im glad Brighton are out . Being drawn against them would have ruined the day as an early kick off , pubs shut , plod everywhere on route ect would have made it a real anti climax . Shame but its just how it is .
We can now concentrate on having a good day out , a few beers and a great match atmosphere whoever it is we end up playing
